Product Description

Editorial Review

Beauty and the Beast is the debut result of a collaboration between Disney and Nintendo that promises to yield great things in the future. Unfortunately, this first meeting of creative corporate powers yields only a pretty game with very little depth.

Taking the form of a board game and utilizing the characters from the charming animated film, Beauty and the Beast challenges gamers to guide their game pieces around a colorful board. Once they land on a square, gamers are faced with one of eight minigames that are initially amusing, but quickly become repetitious after only several repeat plays. The game is almost worth playing just to spy some of the fabulous artwork that is displayed on the Game Boy Color screen, but the action is so repetitive that kids of any age will likely look elsewhere for amusement. --Jeff Young

Pros:

  • Fabulous original artwork
  • Still frames of some of the most loveable characters from the film

Cons:

  • Shallow, repetitive gameplay

This review is from: Disney's Beauty and the Beast Board Game Adventure (Game Cartridge)
I am 16 years old and I really liked this game. I think it is neat that it is a "board game"- it makes the game unique. The levels/ spaces on the games are really cool and don't get boring because there is a lot of them. This game is more for ages 7 and up because of the skill level. But you will have to of had watched the movie to pass one part of the game though! :)

I purchased this game for my 6 year old son. This Game Boy game allows our whole family to play together and allows different levels for the more experienced gamer and less experienced gamer. We have spent hours playing as a family. This is a great game for all ages.

HI ! I rented this game from a video shop and because it was beauty and the beast I thought that it would be boring , but I was wrong ! This game is unique because you can play it like a board game. There are different levels of adventure ,hard, medium, easy . This makes the game sutable for all ages . Trust me if you don't like shooting game or racing but you don't want something sissy then this is the game for you ! Bye !
