Editorial Reviews

Once upon a time in Toon Town there was a cat who had it all. Fortune and fame, top of his game. Up until he hit the wall. Now he's down and out in Toon Town as a Comic Cop who solve crimes with hilarious results. With the help of his partners - Lucky Piquel (his first partner) and Miranda Wright (his second partner).

4.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful 'Toon, August 26, 2004
This review is from: Disney's Bonkers (3 Pack) Going Bonkers / I Oughta Be In Toons / Basic Spraining (VHS Tape)
One of the best (and most underappreciated) Disney 'toons out there! The world of "Bonkers" is a Roger Rabbit-type world, in which humans and cartoons co-exist. In the first few episodes, Bonkers D. Bobcat is ousted from the cartoon industry and ends up working instead for the Hollywood Police Department. The series is chock full of slapstick, clever quips, interesting characters, and of course plenty of anvils dropping from the sky.

The show falls a bit after the character Miranda, Bonkers' second partner shows up. The writing quality, as well as the quality of the animation, drops somewhat; also the series loses the fabulous voice of Jim Cummings at that point. But all the pre-Miranda episodes are wonderful; I would give that part of the series 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Disney's Bonkers (3 Pack) Going Bonkers/ I Oughta Be In ..., December 16, 2004
This review is from: Disney's Bonkers (3 Pack) Going Bonkers / I Oughta Be In Toons / Basic Spraining (VHS Tape)
Bonkers D. Bobcat is Hollywood's top cat until a rival studio's star toon tops the charts and Bonkers' show gets cancelled! Poor Bonkers. Then all of a sudden he comes to the rescue of a very famous Donald Duck! And for his heroic efforts, Bonkers gets a job as a cop with hollywood as his beat, and veteran human cop Lucky Piquel as his partner!

These 3 fantabolous Bonkers cassettes include...
"Going Bonkers"
"Gone Bonkers"
"I Oughta Be In Toons"
"Weather Or Not"
"Basic Spraining"
"Is Toon Fur Really Warm?"

I recommend this video to anyone who is a true fan of Disney Afternoon cartoons.
