I love this show. I watched it every year on the Disney Channel with my family on Halloween until they stopped showing it (grrr!). But there is one thing you all should know- there are actually TWO versions of "Disney's Halloween Treat" that were made. The one that was shown on TV was hosted by the Magic Mirror (which I believe is the best version), while the one that was released on VHS is hosted by a pumpkin and follows a completely different layout than the other version. According to my dad, the pumpkin version was the original one that showed on TV first, but I don't remember it at all. Both versions are good for a Halloween treat, but the Magic Mirror has more of a spooky feel to it. If Disney ever releases this on DVD, they should release both versions on the same disc so the viewers can choose which one they can see, just for the sake of choices!

But as to the show itself, it is a great compilation of scenes from "Fantasia," "Snow White," "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," "Peter Pan," "Cinderella," and "The Sword in the Stone," and also short cartoons are put in the mix like "The Old Mill" and a few Donald Duck & Mickey Mouse cartoons. I highly recommend this for the family, as it should become a tradition in everyone's home!

I loved Disney's Halloween Treat!!! The song at the beginning is awesome and i find myself singing it at random times. I had originally recorded this off tv and have been looking everywhere for a legit copy since i think i lost the tape. :( Anyway, this is great for the kids-- i sure enjoyed it when i was little. I still enjoy it now and i watch it every Halloween because it just makes you laugh. Some of the cartoons in this special are hilarious, especially the one where donald duck finds out that a gorilla escaped from the zoo and he's trying to get away from it by running with the ladder. It's funny.

I really loved this and i don't see why anyone else wouldn't!

i watched this special constantly growing up. It wasn't halloween without it. For many years I had it taped off the tv, but my tape has myseriously disappeared. I must get a new copy. I loved the disney halloween treat song (those who have seen it know what i'm talking about). I can't wait to show it to my daughter

This is a classic from my childhood that we taped and watched ad nauseum growing up. Our version had a magic mirror as the host though - this one is the rumpled pumpkin. It is still a great halloween movie to have around, but this one is missing the "Witch Hazel" scene with Donald Duck's nephews... Bummer. As most loyal fans, I am still waiting for Disney to wake up and release this on DVD!!

I totally thought i was getting the magic mirror version too. I didnt even know that there was another version of it. And i do have to agree that the Magic Mirror one is a lot better then the Pumpkin one. But it does still have some of the same clips, even though they are not as long as the one i grew up watching.

This isn't the one I remember as a kid growing up in the early 80's. This one featured the talking pumpkin and not the magic mirror and is not as long. It's ok but not as good as the first one. As other people who have reviewed this vhs version have said, why Disney hasn't released both versions on DVD as most fans have requested or begged for, I have no idea. I guarantee that it would be one of their top sellers ever.

Some should contact DISNEY and ask them to release this on DVD. they did with most of there videos.

Again, I feel the same as the other reveiws. I recently purchased this item, after not having seen it in years! I was pleasantly suprised, although the version of the show that I remember was hosted by the magic mirror, and this one is hosted by a pumpkin. I like this version though. Wounderful program for Halloween or anytime of the year!

I have loved this show since I was a kid, as well as its counterpart hosted by the Magic Mirror. My kids now love it as well, but because it's on VHS and is already a few years old, I only let them watch it at Halloween. I agree with the reviewer who said Disney would make a ton of money if they put both of them on DVD. I'd be first in line to buy them!

I have it recorded off of TV and I watch it all of the time! It's great anytime of the year, but awesome around Halloween! a PURE classic!
