Old Episodes?...So, what!,

Wow! I cant believe how big of a deal it is to people whether or not the episodes are new or not, my thing is how much this has taught my almost 4 year old. The way a child learns is through repeating. My daughter can tell you what a baton is for and shows us how to conduct, if you ask her where the leaning tower of Pisa is she can tell you in Italy. All that really matters to me is whether or not a movie is educational or not and this one is at the top of my list!!!

Mostly old material,

I thought this was a movie like the Big Huge Adventure. Instead this is "I Love to Conduct" and "How We Became Little Einsteins" both of which are shown almost once a week on Disney. There is a new show Rocket's Safari, but I imagine that will show up on the Disney Channel soon enough.
Fine if you just want episodes of the show on DVD, but not much new material.

Repeat or not, my kids love it and it plays in the van,

Regardless of whether this DVD is rehashed tv episodes or not, lets face it, most 2-3 year olds don't care. I mean seriously, how many times have you seen the same DVD of the Wiggles, like maybe 52 times in a row. I tape/DVD the shows off of the tv like everyone else but you can't play those in the mini-van. So we have to buy DVD's as well as tape them off the tv. My daughter (3) has been watching their first DVD since the day it came out and we bought this one the day it came out (for [...]). Now I can keep the old one in the house and the new one in the van. She loves it and actually asks for this one specifically since it must have animals in it. I tune them out so I really can't remember what the stories are and besides, I'm in the front so I can only hear them. She sits in her car seat and pats her knees (my [...] son even claps during this part) when they are trying to get Rocket to fly and then puts her arms up when they "take off" she laughs, responds to their questions and is hopefully learning something as well as being entertained. So what if they are TV episodes. Grown ups buy TV episodes too. So at this point, read the reviews, if your kid likes them, buy it. At this point you know its 2 old & 1 new so what you really have to ask yourself is, will the money be well spent if you get 30-40 minutes of quiet time while your kid is watching? I say YES.

What's up with only one new episode? We preordered this video at the beginning of the year assuming it was going to be as good as the first one. (There obviously were no reviews about the DVD since it hadn't even been released.) We have all the LE episodes on our TiVo, so it was very disappointing to see that we paid for ONE new episode. (This new episode better not air on TV because I'll want my money back!) Even though I was not happy with this purchase, my 3 year old loves to watch the new episode.

Not my favorite.,

I was also feeling like I had been duped. Two of these videos aired on Disney already and they certainly aren't my favorites. However, my son seems to enjoy the entire series so we are keeping the video. From now on I'll be sure to read the packaging more closely when I'm shopping.

Terrific for an Almost Three Year Old,

My almost three year old daughter LOVES this DVD! She has asked to watch it over-and-over since we brought it home, for two days straight! I am delighted that the television episodes are now being released, and the "new" episode on this DVD is really great!
I am surprised by the other reviews for this DVD... Disney told everyone in promotional trailers that this release was going to be two "older" episodes along with one "new" episode... so maybe those parents just didn't pay attention before their purchase. As a parent who HATES watching the episodes on television (with all the annoying commercials), this is a terrific way for my daughter to enjoy the Little Einstiens. We cannot wait for the next release of more of these wonderful episodes!

RIP OFF!!! Shame on Disney for billing this as a "Triple-Length Adventure" when in fact it is 2 old episodes from the TV show and 1 new one. $20 for 1 new show???? If you call Disney at 800-723-4763 they will give you a 1 time exchange if you were unfortunate enough to buy this DVD.

I don't really mind that it has old episodes on it. My 21 month old loves the show anyway. I love Little Einsteins and anything that they put on DVD is great.

My daughter (2yrs) loves the L.E. Huge Adventure, so I was happy when this was released. I purchased it even though I make it a point not to purchase episode DVDs. Since LE comes on when we are generally doing the school run for older sib or OUT PLAYING, I didn't think twice about making this purchase.
My daughter really loves LE Team Up for Adventure. And I am pleased with my purchase. |
