Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

Fourteen years have passed since Ariel first defeated Ursula, married Prince Eric, and got herself a pair of legs. Now her daughter, Melody, has decided to go against her mother's wishes to search the ocean for the city of Atlantis. Children begin the adventure as Ariel, reliving the events of the first movie. Once they defeat Ursula, kids change over to Melody and start their search for Atlantis. Disney did an excellent job making the controls simple enough for even young children to use. The goals and obstacles are also fairly simple- collect coins and pearls, for example. Even more impressive are the spoken instructions that accompany the on-screen text. These features combine to make the game accessible to a younger age range.

4.0 out of 5 stars Little Mermaid 2: "Return to the Fun!", September 30, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Disney's The Little Mermaid II (Video Game)
I found this game extremely fun to play. Im a big kid you see, who was a big fan of the first little mermaid game for the Nintendo platform. A very cool follow up continuing with the adventures under the sea. Between saving Prince Eric (That pesky prince always getting himself caught), finding Atlantica, Saving Atlantica, Conducting Sebastians Orchestra, Finding your true identity, reclaiming the trident AND escaping from the castle! Not to mention there is over 30 minutes of movie footage. Its never a dull moment.

5.0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE COOLEST GAMES!!!!!, October 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Disney's The Little Mermaid II (Video Game)
This game was rather cooler than I expected. Rescuing PriceEric is not as easy as it seems, battling Ursula is really hard, finding the magic locket is fun, conducting Sebastion's orchestra is pretty neat, and battling Morgana is the best, most action packed game of all! This game really sticks true to the movie, and even my 12 year-old son likes it! If you liked the movie, you'll like this game!

4.0 out of 5 stars A fun game!, September 1, 2002

I bought this game for my daughters ages 7 & 4 and they love it! We are a "gaming" family and we all played this together. My daughters have mastered it, but it took them quite a while to do so. They are both very adept on the playstation and neither bacame bored, in fact, they still play it even though they have completed all levels. The bonus games are a little tough, even for me. The bubble game is challenging, but fun. The only thing my daughters don't like about this game is that Sebastian talks too much. He gives some helpful hints but can be a bit windy. The graphics are pretty good and my daughters love seeing clips from the movies while they are playing. I would certainly recommend this game to anyone with daughters ages 4-8 and who are into mermaids!
