5.0 out of 5 stars Great story of Mcikey in the future, April 9, 2011
This review is from: Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse in the World of Tomorrow (Gladstone Comic Album Series) (Paperback)
This is a Gladstone Publishing reprint edition from 1989, long out of print now. It reprints classic Mickey Mouse serial strips drawn by Floyd Gottfredson, based on scripts by Bill Walsh. The cover Story World of Tomorrow is one of my all time favorites. Originall published in newspapers from July 31 to November 11, 1944. In the story Mickey goes to the future, what he calls the "post-war world". It is a land of floating homes, flying cars, and robots. There are gags galore and they had a lot of fun in creating this one. Following this story is a number of filler gag strips that ran once a week between the Meriel episodes. The last story is a reprint fo the classic "The Pirate Ghost Ship". It was originally published as a daily strip from April 17, 1944 to July 15, 1944. The colors in this book are really well done, high quality inks and paper, the cover and pages are still as tightly attached as when I bought it 20 years ago. I recommend for fans of vintage sci-fi or of Mickey.

This is a fun comic book starring Mickey Mouse and Pluto. Good for kids and grownups. 'Nuff said.
