4.0 out of 5 stars Gratefulness and Friendship, September 16, 2004
This review is from: Disney's Winnie the Pooh: The Merry Christmas Mystery (Golden Look-Look Book) (Hardcover)
This is a wonderful storybook with pictures that could tell the story alone! This feature can help children who may have trouble reading the text to feel successful by using the pictures to help determine meaning. My favorite thing about this book is that it really shows kids that we should have a grateful heart and appreciate gifts from others even when they don't really suit us. It also shows that good friends share their belongings and work together to solve problems. There are several opportunities for prediction throughout the book, promoting higher-order thinking skills in young children. Bottom line, this book is fun, enjoyable, and can be educational.
