Finding resources to give clients whose family members require care following a manic/hypomanic episode has always been a challenge because there are not many materials out there that make it easy to understand bipolar disorders. This book is an excellent resource for me and I have recommended it to many colleagues. It help all people understand what a bipolar disorder is all about and provides evidence based guidelines on the roles of relatives and health care providers.

This book can be a huge help in understanding someone close to you who has bipolar disorder. For the longest time, I got frustrated with my best friend because I didn't understand her behavior and moods. After reading this book, I have a better understanding of the disorder and a better grasp of why her behavior isn't always what I expected. The issue was my misunderstanding of the illness, not the disorder itself. It was a tremendous help in the whole process of learning how I can help my friend when times get tough.

This book helped answer alot of my questions when my best friend was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. It helped me understand her better, how her moods can change and how I can help her deal with the symptoms that she can't control.

I have two family members who suffer from bipolar disorder (both rapid cycling). THis book really helps provide some ways to deal with them without causing any undo stress to anyone. Its a fantastic book, and my hat is off to the writer.

I bought this book to learn more about it because I wanted to know if a family member had these symptoms. It answered alot of questions I had and I was able to distinguish whether or not my family member had it or not. It tells you all the signs and symptoms to look for, yourself, without having to see a physician for a diagnostic test. It also tells you what kind of treatment options there are for it. This saved me alot of money by not having to have a doctor visit.

This book is really good about bipolar disorder. It explained what bipolar disorder is and the symptoms of it.
The book explained how does it effect someone over time,the risk factors and how bipolar disorder can be treated.

My gf has Bipolar II disorder. She has horrible mood swings, and I take the brunt of them. I bought this book to learn more about her disorder, so I can better understand her. I learned that people who have this disorder usually have periods of artistic, manic episodes before the depression hits. I learned many other useful things thanks to this book.
