Disorderlies = "Must see movie",
By
This review is from: Disorderlies (DVD)
This has been a favorite for a number of years, However living in New Zealand I could not find it anywhere so a few weeks ago i searched it on Amazon.
This movie is funny, quirky and is definately a good watch. It revolves around 3 bumbling guys "aka the fat boys" who get picked to look after a desperate son's 'ailing' father. After a business deal gone wrong the son needs money fast and the dollar signs take over. In all there stubbling and bumbling they find a break thru that gives the father a new lease on life much to the son's despair. This is a great family movie, and is a far cry from the smut and dirty language that is taking over movies in the last few years.

Rappers Darren Robinson,Damon Wimbley and Mark Morales aka The Fat Boys star in their first and only film. These three are natural born comedians engaging in disorderly conduct in a hospital. This film was thatrically released on August 14,1987 when the Fat Boys' album CRUSHIN' was on the charts. Sadly,it was a box office disappointment,so "Goodbye,Hollywood" for the rappers. Bananarama's hit song I HEARD A RUMOUR,also on their album WOW!,is on the movie soundtrack and the Fat Boys contribute to the album as well.

Comedy is best when all age ranges can enjoy it. Sure, there is some crude humor to be found here. But if I had kids of my own, this is definitely a movie we'd watch together. The slap stick is plenty. Watching it all these years later, I'm reminded why I loved "The Fat Boys" so much growing up. Call them what you will (Immature, stupid, crude) they enjoyed being themselves. Playing here as bumbling idiots who are supposive to watch an old helpless man. You know from the jump though, that things will go haywire. Watching this I really believed the characters. And they never took themselves all that seriously, which is perfect for a comedy of this type. There is no strong moral message behind this flick, there's no scenes that will make you think. It's a movie to entertain you. The scene with the pool and the slide and the woman in the Bikini, especially sticks out in my mind. It's a shame that this was it as far as movies went for them. They had obvious chemistery, and loved what they did. Which was being goofy. It's also a shame Buffy passed away some years ago. There can never be a Disorderlies II. This is something kids of the new generation should see. It's good, clean fun.

Funny! Doubles me over in Laughter!!!,
By
This review is from: Disorderlies [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I thought that this movie was funny... Seeing the old man trying to act young and hip after a night out. after the 3 boys lose the pills, he suddenly gets better... I thought that the film had plenty of laughs in it. The scenes where the Fat Boys were hitting themselves were a take of the Three Stooges. The scene that has me doubled over in laughter was when one of them got trigger happy with a machine gun and kills a coo coo clock!soon we see the clock in ruins... Look for Cameos by the following: Ray Parker Jr. (Pizza Man) Ghostbusters fame I hope that some of you will give Disorderlies a chance.. It was ment to be fun... It shows that the boys can have fun and laugh at themselves... This is for people that need a good laugh...

This movie is one of my fondest memories of the 80's. These guys took nothing seriously, especially themselves.

I saw this movie the first time it came out, and I was only five years old. It is so hilarious. My favorite scene is when Buffy is trying to give the old man CPR, and Buffy starts yelling MOUTH to MOUTH!!!! I laughed my tail off!!! Buffy passed away in 1995, and he is missed. This film is a must have!!!! I can't believe that this film came out twenty years ago!!!!!

The Fat Boys are one of the greatest symbols of the 80's! This video is a testiment of how great the Fat Boys really are. They were rappers, actors, and comedians. The Fat Boys are truly "phat!"

Besides Krush Groove, this is my favorite Fat Boys movie. They get to shine on their own with their version of comedy. I especially liked the video they shot for "Baby You're Rich Man". I also liked the songs "Rock Rulin" and "Wipeout".
