About the Author

Lisa Smith is the director of the Lane County Department of Youth Services. Over the past twenty years, she has developed and implemented juvenille justice programs, lead system reform, and authored two books and numerous articles on the subject.

Linda Wagner has worked as the research and development coordinator in the Lane County Department of Youth Services for many years, evaluating the impact of juvenile justice policy and system reform.

John Aarons is a casework coordinator with the Lane County Department of Youth Services. Previously he worked as a consultant for the National Council for Juvenile and Family Court Judges. All are frequent speakers on the subject of juvenile crime. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Everyone knows "the system" is broken. Will these suggestions fix it? Probably not, but this is a pretty good effort.
