Good intro to Gaudapada,

This review is from: Dispelling Illusion: Gaudapada's Alatasanti (SUNY Series in Religious Studies) (Paperback)
This book is well written but it's too fixated on the buddhism/advaita controversy surrounding Gaudapada (which is a controversy for scholars and not for Advaitins or Buddhists) to have a clear grasp of what Gaudapada is saying. The author doesn't seem to get the use of maya or mithya in the Advaita Vedanta. He constantly asks who and what's the cause of illusion(it's effect) while the whole teaching denies ANY cause/effect or any change in reality. But, outside of this miscue in the commentary, this book is a good intro to Gaudapada.
