My daughter is hard on electronics, so when she sat on her ipod, in her back pocket she thought all was lost.
But the replacement is easy to do if you are patient gentle, and follow the instructions.
I opened, removed and replaced this lcd screen in about 25 minutes.
The trick is follow the instructions, and be slow thoughtful, gentle and methodical.
It comes with the tools necessary to open the iPod.
great product. saved me a bundle.
There are also tons of sites on the internet to walk you through this, with full pictures and video of the replacement procedure.

great bargain

This screen was great. it was nice to see my old ipod video work again. this screen is clear and bright. its a great deal and a great screen. the only problem i had was getting the case open with the tools but after i watched a video its was not to bad to get it open. i would recommend this screen for anybody with an old ipod video they want to bring to life again.

This was a great item. Good price to save an iPod with a broken screen. Easy to install with the video showing exactly what to do.

Pros: Good quality screen. Easy to replace, even with my giant fingers.

Cons: Doesn't replace itself.

Side Note: Apple's connectors are kinda goofy (i.e. flimsy and finnicky); not a fault of this screen, but be prepared to take your time and be careful not to break anything.

All-in-all, I've had this installed for about 5 months now, and it's done exactly what it's supposed to. And for this price, you CANNOT go wrong.

Exactly as advertised- except it came with some marker marks on the screen, but they came off with some windex and scrubbing.
Installation was simple- just watch the YouTube videos a coupletimes before attempting, and do it slowly and carefully and you'll be fine. Nothing better than a working iPod for less than 20 bucks.

Along with a new faceplate and battery, my iPod is as good as new now.

Ordered this part from Amazon.com so I could replace my own screen. I received the part in less than 3 days. I thought I would be waiting the full 7 days! It was a nice surprise to actually get something I ordered online without any problems, let alone sooner than expected. Great first experience!

going into this project was a little intimidating, but after watching a video on youtube it was no problem at all. fixed it up in 5 min. works like a charm.

This is soooo much cheaper than having it done from a website. I had my ipod up and running within 15 minutes, I just wished I'd done this sooner. The only complaint I have is that there is no manual with this item, but you can find plenty of videos online on how to do it.

First off I only got the little green plastic tool which was flimsy and it quickly wore down. I didn't get the screw driver. Not worth it...
