Works well, but took a while to figure out that I needed to plug both Thunderbolt AND the USB into my MacBook Pro in order to get it to work. Once you do that it works well.

Excelent to plug play. I like use on presentation on old tv or school. HDMI is best option but for the price is ok.

Plug and play, but no adjustments for picture quality or size. If you want to record video from MacPro screen using the Thunderbolt port, this will do the job.

The only consideration, is that this does not turn a regular SD TV into an HDTV. Some people expect crazy things, this is not magic. It works perfectly every time.

I bought this to connect my new MacBook to an old TV and also to the rear-seat entertainment system in my van. It works well for both applications, but the device itself is clunky. The video output is a bit fuzzy owing to the needed digital-to-analog conversion. Movies and streaming video (Netflix, Amazon Instant Video) are displayed OK, but reading computer text is difficult. Buy it if your purpose is watching shows, but not if you plan to use the screen as a monitor.

It does it's job and I honestly didn't expect the quality to be as good as it is. My parents bought a new car and for long trips this makes sitting in the back bearable as I can play movies from my laptop over the car's headphones and displays. Their small but they get the job done.

Since this isn't a full thunderbolt connector (it's really just a mini-display port that gets power from USB) it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack that you must plug-in. This is great since this doesn't require power, I can just plug in any device that has a standard headphone jack and we can listen over the headphones that came with the car or through the main stereo, no additional power required.

However, I'd really love to see an update that uses a thunderbolt connector instead of mini-display port so it doesn't require 3 cables plugged into the computer to use. Still, love the device and it's great for what it does.

My daughter needed to connect her mac=book to the TV to watch Netflix streaming. We tried various things that didn't work. I bought this for her for Christmas. It worked on the first try. The video quality is not HD but quite acceptable.

Works beautifully, plug and play. Extremely easy! I wanted to hook my Macbook Air to my old CRT and this did the trick!
