Magic Scratch Fixer,

This product is amazing. I'd read the reviews and recommendations for Displex on PSP forums. Frankly, wasn't sure it would perform. My PSP display was pretty much trashed with scratches from a cell phone rubbing against it and then my lame attempts with a polishing kit, rubbing compound, and automotive polish at removing those scratches. Basically, there were scratches absolutely everywhere. It takes a long long time rubbing, but all the scratches were removed and the screen returned to absolute mirror finish. A couple of tips - a little goes a very long way. Use only one or two drops on an area and rub firmly and for a long time. That tube is probably enough to completely polish a PSP screen 10 or 20 times. A lamp shining on the display can help show where the scratches are while you polish. Do not save the cotton cloth used to do the polishing - they are disposable (the kit contains about 6 squares). If you try to reuse the cloth, it will actually scratch your dispaly from the dried product. Rub until you think your arm is going to fall off, and then keep going. It takes a lot of work. The PSP actually has two layers, a sort of clear topcoat that is pretty thick. Then there is a base of plastic. If the scratch is deep, you'll rub down through the clearcoat. Not to worry, that clearcoat does not affect the view. Lastly, once you've gone through all this trouble, buy either a plastic film screen protector or a case. You don't want to go through all this rubbing again. June 15, 2011 - It's been six years since I wrote this review. I still have that original tube of Displex. I have used this on all kinds of scratches. I use this the most on DVD's. Netflix DVD's tend to have a lot of scratches on them. Instead of wasting my time exchanging a scratched DVD, I try to clean up the scratches first. Out of about 50 skipping DVD's I've tried to clean up, I was able to fix all but 4. The 4 difficult ones had really deep scratches. The only tip for using this on DVD's - rub back and forth across the DVD (radially - between the center hole and the edge of the DVD), not around in a circle. It still takes a lot of work to remove those nicks and scratches. There really isn't anything magic about this product, it is simply an extremely fine polishing compound, that might leave a bit of residue in fine scratches. After all these years, I strongly recommend this product.

Displex,

I really got this to get rid of some scratches on my Sony PSP. It worked wonders. I was worried that it would leave kind of a White residue and ruin the screen, not the case here at all. I tired it on my Mom's glasses, they're like new. I tried it on a CD, it's just fine. You only need one drop. The thing I don't like it that you have to rub it for a bout 2-3 minutes and your fingers get tired. It should be in everyone's house, you never know what will happen

A small statue fell off a shelf above my computer desk and created a very obvious two-inch scratch right in the middle of the LCD display on my new 20-inch iMac G5. After several months of research, including calls to Apple Computer, I finally happened upon Displex here. I ordered it from CoolCyberCats and received the tube in about three days! I used one drop on one of the included small cloth patches and rubbed over the scratch for about four minutes. The scratch is gone! The product worked beautifully! I don't know if it would work on a laptop LCD if it lacks a clear cover layer, but on my desktop machine it was a wonder. Both the product and the supplier exceeded my expectations!
