I bought the Keurig machine several days ago, along with the My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter, and several 12 packs of K cup coffee selections...

I wanted the pre-made K cups for when I was in a hurry and had planned to use the reusable basket filter as my "go to" method. I was VERY disappointed!!!! both the mess and the weak resulting brew led me here, to the DisposaKup Filters. I read all of the reviews, not sure if they would work for me. I figured I would take a chance and ordered 200.

Amazon had them here in 2 days, and I rushed to give them a try....I inserted one into the basket filter added my Gourmet Blend (I have it roasted for me by a local company...yes, I'm a coffee snob) secured the screw-on lid, and brewed the first cup...

The brew was less than impressive......but, the filter was easily removed to the compost bucket (great for gardens) and clean up was a snap.

This morning I tried a new approach...

1. Remove the foil top from a used K cup.
2. Remove the internal filter.
3. Trim off the upper lip of the K cup.
4. Push the K cup into the My K cup basket adapter until the trimmed edge is even
with the top of the adapter.
5. Drop in a DisposaKup filter.
6. Fill with your "special" blend. (I use an espresso grind)
7. Secure the lid, and brew.

The brew is PERFECT .... !!!!! Remove the lid and the filter and its contents slip easily into the compost bucket (or trash). Lightly rinse, and you are ready for the next brew.

The insert remains in the adapter, which can be used with tea bags as well.

Apparently, the filter basket does not retain the same pressure and restrict the flow of the heated water as well as the pre-made K cup. The result is a weak brew...Now I get a perfect cup of gourmet coffee with absolutely no mess and easy clean-up. It just doesn't get any better than that!!!!

I use these filters with my ekobrew filter. I do not get the sediment in the bottom of my cup as much. They work great as well as the ekobrew product.

If you don't like coffee grounds in you cup or you do not like to clean the grounds out of the solo cup, eco brew or the k cup basket. These DisposaKup Filters http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005SVV4MO/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title
inserted in Medelco RK202 One All Universal Single-Cup Replacement Coffee Filter, Set of 2
http://www.amazon.com/One-All-Universal-Single-Cup-Replacement/dp/B003KQ47P0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1324669375&sr=8-1
Used with the K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter Holder might be the solution for you.

Place the DisposaKup Filter into the Medelco Universal Single-Cup Replacement Coffee Filter pushing down until the outer edges of filter line up with edges of basket. this will allow the cap on the holder to be tightened properly, if it over hangs too much you may not get a good seal on the holder cap.
Fill with coffee grinds of your choice, palce in K-cup holder, secure cap and brew.

Dispose or recycle grounds and paper filter as you wish.
The only clean up will be to rinse the underside of the cap as a few grounds will stick there.

I received a Keurig brewer for Christmas, but when I saw the price of K-cups, I started looking for a device that would allow me to use regular coffee. I found the Ekobrew Cup,Refillable K-Cup For Keurig K-Cup Brewers 2-Pack and ordered some, but I was having trouble with the way they were brewing - the coffee wasn't coming out in a stream like with the k-cups and the coffee came out watery about halfway through the cycle. The k-cups only have two small holes when they are in the chamber which forces the water the hit the coffee more; the ekobrew cups have lots of open mesh areas. I did a lot of reading and saw a recommendation for using paper filters with the ekobrew cups. I tried these, and although they are a little expensive considering they're just paper, they seem to be helping with the brewing process. And they make cleanup easier. I'm still new at this and experimenting.

K-cups 60 cents per cup, and rising? Not on MY budget! I bought these recently along with the MyKap lids. Together, these products solved everything. I use my own coffee and when I'm done I toss out the filter along with the spent grinds. You can use your K-cups (and lids) over and over again. The coffee brews just as good as the standard k-cups, and actually tastes better since it's the organic brand I prefer. I have had no issues with filter paper breaking or leaking. I read some reviews complaining of this. Perhaps a stronger paper is being used now?

Note: I didn't find coffee grinds in my coffee mug. This was a problem with the My K-cup product (which was also a major pain to clean). I'm very happy that I'm saving money and not harming the environment by throwing too many plastic cups into the landfills. Now I can enjoy the speed and convenience of the Keurig without the high price or messy cleanup.

These LOOKED like they would work, but did not. I tried one with the Solo cup and Eko cup and it did not work well with either. The lids would not shut tight, water backed up in the cups creating a big mess for me to clean up. Great idea, but not very usable.
