When critics say stupid things like Heavy Metal bands are all one-diminesional, I throw this song in their face to show them that a giant metal band like Metallica has the ability to be politically controversial and care about our young men and women in uniform. The song is about how those in power use our soldiers for their own nefarious purposes (like fighitng over crude oil fields) and the lyrics are direct without apologies while the music is stomping a mudhole in your arse at the same time!
