Change of Style but we still Love you Shyheim!!!, June 21, 2011
This review is from: Disrespectfully Speaking (Audio CD)
I've been listening to you since you were a young rugged child. Playing your music in my compact CD player in elementary and high school. Now I listen to your latest hits on MP3 players and Iphones. I've only been keeping up with your music because you always got something new to tell me that I need to hear. A little change in style on this record but maybe its because I hear new people on it and not any Wu-Tang members. Still its HOT! I want to see you live Shyheim. I need to see you live before its too late. You need to come to Georgia and bring us some real knowledge about the game of hip hop! YOU THE MAN!!!!

5th solo is another pretty good one, December 1, 2009
This review is from: Disrespectfully Speaking (Audio CD)
It's been 5 years since Shyheim's last solo album, and this is another one worthy of 4 stars, and probably my 2nd favorite of his albums that I have heard. (slightly better than his 2004 "Greatest Story Never Told" & slightly under his 1999 hard to find album, "Manchild" -- I never heard the whole albums from: 1994 "The Ruggid Child"; or 1996's "The Lost Generation" so I can't rate them having not heard the entire albums). This one has 15 songs, 1 almost classic, 2 ok songs, the other 12 are good or real good songs. Guests are a little heavy being he hasn't put out much in the last 5 years, on 10 of the 15 songs. Production is pretty good as well, though no production credits are given. A nice album to have from someone who is still in his 20's but has been putting out albums for 16 years now, coming up with the Wu in the early 90's as a young teenager (and he has a dis track toward Raekwon on this one as well). A nice album for his fans to check out.
