Dr. Simon's book is the best resource for dissertations that I have seen. It should be titled,Dissertations for Dummies, because anyone can follow it. It is clear and complete, written like a map. I'm glad I purchased the book.

A delightful presentation of a complex process! Dr. Simon's book appealed to me initially because it helped lighten the impact of this very serious and painstaking process of research and dissertation writing I was about to embark upon. Later, it continued to provide the support I needed to keep on track and have the confidence I would turn out a good 'dish' to serve!
I highly recommend this book to anyone contemplating research and/or thesis or dissertation writing. This book encapsulates everything you would learn in the research classes prior to starting your research and writing. However, it cuts to the chase and proves to be a real simple and practical guide to the complex process of scholarly research and dissertation writing!!!

This book is written for everyone on the quest of gaining different approaches to writing a dissertation. For those of us who are not cooks it brings insightful information at a very readble level. Provides good source information and a realistic view to improve the dissertation journey. Recommended reading during the initial development of Chapters 1 and 2 and research development methods - serves as supplemental reading.

This book is a must for all who are conducting research! I am a very visual learner and had a difficult time understanding how the research process worked. Yes, I conducted research for my Master's degree, but Dr. Simon's book made connections to something I love, cooking! This book helped me to understand the entire process in a whole new way. It makes sense even to those who are having a difficult time absorbing the extensive process of research from the beginning all the way to the end. It is very user friendly written in a style that is easy for all to understand. Serve up a great dish (YOUR RESEARCH) using this wonderfully composed book! I recommend this book to all who are at any level, any phase of research! It works!!!

This guide is very easy to read! It offers examples and a space to then write your own information. It is broken down into manageable pieces, which makes thinking about your work easier than thinking about the whole dissertation. This guide has definitely helped me get started on my dissertation.
