I come speaking to you as a Hardcore Techno fan. The Berzerker has, by being the most innovative band on earth, made me finally like something besides pure techno. The Berzerker's ultra-fast drum beats kick my subs harder than any Slipknot track ever could, and the warped guitar riffs are forever stuck in my head. I have experienced the music of Berzerker. It is now your turn. I advise you to buy this cd NOW!!

One Of The Best Death Metal Albums Ever,
By

I cannot recommend this album enough. Many people criticize this band, accusing the fans of being seduced by the incredible speed of the drummer into ignoring the band's lack of musical talent. I have to say that these people are dead wrong. This band doesn't just have a fast drummer, they have a good drummer. I've never heard anyone play with the fluidity and precision that this guy has. Not only that, but this album is chock full of really neat fills and grooves, along with ridiculously fast blastbeats that put Morbid Angel to shame. If the drummer was the only saving grace to this album, then I wouldn't have rated as highly as I did. The guitarist and bassist also have admirable ability, and the riffs on this album are sure to get your head banging. If you listen to the final track, "Corporal Jigsore Quandary", you'll notice that it sounds almost exactly like the original version, performed by Carcass. The guitar solo is played almost note for note. Finally, the two vocalists also make notable contributions to the music. The bassist has a terrific, low growl while the frontman, Luke, handles all the high-pitched screeching and hissing. They both effectively deliver the intelligent and depressing lyrics. I have seen this band live and they sound just like the recording. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise; the Berzerker have incredible technical and compositional skill. All the songs on this CD are very enjoyable, especially "Paradox"; "Compromise"; "Failure"; "Death Reveals"; and "The Principles And Practices Of Embalming". I can't get enough of this CD and am highly anticipating their next tour and the upcoming DVD. If you are a fan of death metal, this CD is a must.

I just recently discovered The Berzerker and I have to say that I am blown away. I am a huge Nile fan and before listening to The Berzerker I thought no one came close to Nile in intensity, brutality and overall quality of music. If any band I have heard could come close its The Berzerker.I 100% recommend this album to anyone who likes fast brutal death. This has to be one of my favorite albums of all time!

The Berzerker is certainly the best band in music today,

I heard that some people in the forums of Gaia have talked about this band. They say that this band is the fastest band ever and that their drummer is extremely good; he holds the world record for drumming with one hand at 18-19 bps. I got this album last October and I must say this rules!! Nothing is better than this band as they fuse gabba (hardcore techno at 200+ BPM) with Death Metal/Grindcore. Songs like Failure, Death Reveals, No One Wins, The Principles and Practices of Embalming, Paradox, and the cover of Carcass' Corporal Jigsore Quandary certainly get my fancy. Forget the asinine trends, forget the new music that is played nowadays. Here is a band that obliterates everything in its path: Behold The Berzerker!
To all the people who says this band sucks and is not music, shut the f**k up. You people don't even know what you are talking about and are most likely to have no taste in music at all. I bet you people listen to that Pop, R/B, Rap/Hip-Hop, and Nu Metal crap. Those kinds of music ARE NOT music nor does it have talent. Metal is the best kind of music today and it owns ALL of you. If you people hate this band, the best thing is, DON"T WRITE A GODDAMNED REVIEW FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! This band is NOT for the faint of heart. This band is for people who have TRAINED EARS. Death to all posers/preps and long live The Berzerker!! \M/\M/

This album has the fastest blastbeats I have ever heard, and the way the drums sound make this album stand out. Its a good listen and some songs have cool beats in them. The guitaring is good and the vocals are also. This album has the fastest drumming, but there are faster bands, many goregrind bands such as regurgitate, etc. There are heavier bands such as strapping young lad. There is just something about the lads that makes their music heavier than any dose of musical extremity could.

I'm not a particular fan of heavy metal, and less of death metal. I currently listen to the acts like KMFDM, NIN, Ministry, Rammstein, or Eisbrecher, together with more conventional ones. However, sometimes I feel like listening to heavier music, and my fav of this kind is Alec Empire (you don't have to mention that Mr. Empire is not industrial but digital hardcore, I know that). The Berzerker, calling their music as industrial death metal, is sure to become another such act for me. If you have a liking for industrial rock and also for some heavier ones, you will surelky like this band. Don't be fooled by their masks (stupid but amazing, but unfortunately the band has stopped to use the masks), they are like pyrotechnic of Rammstein. If you don't like them, just neglect them (as a matter of fact I love the masks).

As a metal fan I had to check these guys out after I saw they covered the Carcass track "Corporal Jigsore Quandary". How bad could this be since that's a classic 90's metal track from a great band? It was pretty bad. I think vocally and riff wise these guys are ok but the techno stuff and the drum machine just doesn't do it. Grindcore with a weak drum machine is just not my thing. I think the worst thing about these guys is the drums but I give them 3 out of 5 stars because they could be better.

Greatest taste of brutality,

The second release of The Berzerker is the most intense, fast and brutal ever. It really blows the selftitled out of the water.
The first song I heard from this album was the brutal No One Wins, in a mp3 file, along with The Principles And Practices Of The Embalming. Two brutal and extremely fast tracks that worth to get this album. The Berzerker are four anonymous guys only recognized by their instruments: "The Singer", "The Bassist", "The Guitarist" and of course "The Drummer". Yes,The Berzerker used a drum machine only in their selftitled. Yes, it's the true, many people can't believe it, but the 909 kickdrums are played by a guy that can reach over 1143 beats per minute(aproximately 20 beats per second; The Berzerker's drummer play the drums, and then, the sound of the drums is distorted in an industrial-sound frenzy. The singer is a growls' master and is helped with screeching vocals (I don't know if it's the guitarist or the bassist who sing these vocals...), and the bass and the guitar are the pure sound of a chain-machinegun. Contrary at the people say, this band from Melbourne make Brutal-Industrial-Death metal, and not Grindcore as bands like Carcass or Cattle Decapitation. The sound is totally different, man. My favorites would be Death Reveals,No One Wins, The Principals And Practices Of The Embalming and the cover of Carcass' classic Corporal Jigsore Quandary,(that some people said it's bad, and it damage the original version), man, you have your opinion and ME the mine, and I'll only agree that I prefer to hear this version cuz it's louder and more brutal a million times than the original. In conclusion if you want to hear the most brutal and fast drums in the world in songs as Death Reveals and No One Wins, then pick up this wonder of extreme metal. If you want it, you can buy now this CD with the selftitled, but be sure that it's better this than the selftitled.

The Berzerker have got the be THE fastest band i have ever heard in my life, plus they all play their instruments with such precision that no matter how fast it is you can still hear the individual notes,i used to think SYL was the fastest band in the world but since i heard the Berzerker, SYL are #2 in the speed category for me...now even though i like SYL alot more i still think the Berzerker are an amazing band and if you want some really REALLY fast speed/death/grindcore look no further,if you watch their DVD "The Principles and Practices of The Berzerker" you will see how fast the guitarist and drummer play...and yes, those electronic drums are done manually, they're not programmed!...check out the Bezerker..they've been waiting for you!

Some of the fastest, most insane pieces of music ever!,

This review is from: Dissimulate (Audio CD)
This is a band that really spit in the face of extreme and better it on every level. This is an extreme only heard on a building site full of dinosaurs and stampeding buffalo whilst the end of the world is occuring. This is a new extreme of extreme. And yet, the music loses nothing. It feels as if this comes naturally to them, and that they are not trying to make it heavy. Now I know a lot of people will say this is not music, and the thing is, there probably into mainstream music. Now music is art, and art is at it's best when it is free, when it knows no boundaries. if you are making music for the mainstream you are doing it for money, you can't step out of the mould because experimentation loses you funds. That, my friends is not free, and therefore by definition that is not music, and by definition, this is. I gave this 4 stars not 5 because there is a lot of industrial effects on the drums, which I understand is a drum kit. This kind of muffles out the gutairs a bit, they can still be heard, but not enough. Also, the riffs aren't very heavy themselves and the only reason this band is heavy is because of the boom-boom factor of the drumming. It also has to be said that this does take a couple of listens to really appreciate because the first listen carries a shock factor that really drowns out the music. And also, if you are listening to this because it's heavy, after 3 or so listens you won't notice that at all and it'll just be boring, so you really have to like this for what it is. However, if your like me and you love this kind of thing you'll love this but also agree with some of the things I've said. I think of all the tracks the best one's would be Disregard, Failure, The Principles and Practices of Embalming (which has some messed up lyrics), No One Wins, the insane and impossible to understand Death reveals and Painless. They also include a Carcass cover as the last track.
