A Fantastic yet sad book!!!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Distance Runner (Thoroughbred #51) (Paperback)
I have read every Thoroughbred book printed and own every one. I buy them as soon as they come out and can finish them in a day. This Thoroughbred amazed me. First, I would like to congradlate Jennifer Chu for writing her first Thoroughbred and doing it well. But the worst part in the book is when Parker and Christina brake up. That was soooo sad!!But who Christina meets next is cool. So read book #51 and you will be as amazed as me at the other surprises!

Dear Readers,The bookscool. Its cool. But why did they have to brake up they looked good together. I hope Mel and Kev get back togther. And why do they have to spell Mum "MOM" couldnt they spell it "MUM" it woulod be aloit better. I hate Aaron. He remides me of a kid who went to my Primary School. I hope star wins the Darby. But he dosnt. Image dose. I like Hi jinks. But on the book when Jinks comes out they spell his name like High Jinks when it should be Hi Jinks. What happened to Sterling Dream. Whernt they going to breed her to Jazzman. And why is Jazzman so Popual if Glory was the one to win all those races why didnt he go into the darby. Where are the rest of the gang. (...)

an ok book but sort of wrong,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Distance Runner (Thoroughbred #51) (Paperback)
I think that the auther shouln`t have put aaron in, and the auther got the dates of the races wrong and come on, don`t make parker just dissappear like max and dylan.chris is a bit of a spoilsport and mel isn`t half as mean as the auther makes her sound. the covers lack a lot in the new generation and joanna campbell should start writing the books again.the auther is dissappionting a lot of people!!!!!!!!!! in spite of what i`ve just said the serriies is still one of my favorites.

Good Book, but series is going downhill...,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Distance Runner (Thoroughbred #51) (Paperback)
I liked this book, but I have to admit it was a little unrealistic. I don't expect the series to be exactly like real life, but still, I don't think Ashleigh and Mike would let Christina go to California just because Star is having a problem...first they go to Montana, and now California? I'm sorry, but I am getting a little fed up with Christina and Star. They always have some problem, but it always turns out perfect for them. Personally, I am rooting for Image to win the Derby. Anyways, I am kind of disapointed that Christina and Parker broke up-it would have been so cool if they had gotten married and owned Townsend Acres together. I just hope he doesn't disappear like Dylan, Max, and all those other people (too many to mention-one thing the series definetly needs improving in). I liked hearing about Storm, Glory, Shining, and Fleet Goddess again though, it was nice to know that they weren't gone forever, although I still think the series should do more with the older horses. Well, I have some other small complaints, but books can't be perfect, and I thought this was pretty good. I just hope the quality of the books goes back up, and i would love if christina got back into eventing!! Anyways, thats about it!

Better!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Distance Runner (Thoroughbred #51) (Paperback)
I must say that I was impressed with this book. I've always liked Jennifer Chu's writing, and this book was no exception. It was never boring; there always seemed to be something happening. I really dislike the Johnsons. They are selfish and mean and only think that their opinions count. By the way, I agree with some of you when you say that Chris is selfish, such as in book 64, but not in this book. I was realived to find that Chris wasn't bratty at all in this book. Great reads!

Chis and Star,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Distance Runner (Thoroughbred #51) (Paperback)
I really liked the book but, was does Chistina and Star kept losing touch?I mean you don't need that much drama. And why did Chis and Parker break up! They were great together! Well, please get back together later in the seris! And LOVED the part when Star ran and ran for Chistina!!

This book like the rest of Christina's books was a little boring. No excitement at all.Chris is turning into a brat. She always has to have everything her way.But still I guess it's OK.HAPPY READING.Your going to need it.

By A Customer

Okay. Whats going on here. First of all Aaron is a jerk and Parker and Christina made a great couple. Also, why in the world would Chris even consider going to California? And how come the horses Christina ride are perfect? Also, Why would Chris think whipping Star would make a difference?? She knows that Wonder used to hate whips!! Come on people! Don't get me wrong, this book is great. It has a good plot-Maybe even my fith favorite. If you want a great book read Faith in a Long Shot or Christina's Shining Star.

Really it was a good book, some people are just to crittical.I mean this is a fiction book for young kids it isn't like it is up for the Pulitzer Prize. Anyway Aronn was sweet and sometimes people get to cuaght up to think about simple sloutions but she did didn't she Chris is smart. Oh and it was spring break. Read the Book.
