4.0 out of 5 stars Not Really Sure Why This Album Is Credited To Ralph Lalama, December 8, 1999
By
B. Lamb (Southern Calif.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Distant Star (Audio CD)
Bill Charlap is an absolutely magnificent pianist; and Sean Smith (Bass) and Bill Stewart (Drums) all play exceedingly well together. Very cozy, intimate sound, and I agree with the liner notes which compares it (Charlap's sound) to Bill Evans'. Such a beautiful record. Who, though, I wonder, is Ralph Lalama?
