As a insomniac, I am always looking for something to help me get to sleep. A nurse friend turned me on to Pure White Noise CDs and I have been buying a few along. This one is outstanding. I have bought quite a few "nature" CDs but this one stands out way above the rest. It creates such a cozy mood. The rain is gentle and the thunder is more of a way off rumble than close crashes. I bought this CD and the Pure White Noise "Sea of Serenity" CD at the same time and while both are great, this one is my favorite. A great recording, no animals or music, soft rumbles of thunder and a really cool CD to use for sleep. It works very well. The price was right and Amazon delivered it quickly. I am a very happy camper with this purchase.

This cd is exactly what I expected. Very calming to listen to. Helps to block out other noise. Am planning on using it on my MP3 player on a 12 hours bus trip to DC this summer with 100 high school kids.
