I bought this (and the brother narrow hem foot which is the same thing so stay away from that too imo)and tried to use it on anything. It will only work on lightweight fabrics and even then the stitching is hard to look uniform. The stitches look wonky and the hem is incredibly small (5mm or less). I decided to just go for it and get the "distinctive" rolled hem foot set which has seven different and USEFUL sized hems (like 1/4" and 5/8", etc.)and give you a chance to keep those hems clean and professional looking. It is $50 for the set, but i am so much happier to have hemming feet that actually work!

Yay! These are a little hard to find retail. It fits and works great on my Brother SR-65 machine. Plus, it was delivered with AMAZING speed!! I had a project waiting on the delivery and it was even faster than I would have dared hope!

I recently used it for a light jersey knit cotton fabric to hem the neckline and armholes of a childen's size tank top t-shirt. It's a little tricky to use, but one you get the hang of it it looks really good. For good instruction on how to master this foot go to threadsmagazine(com) and search for "Mastering the Narrow Hemmer". It's a 3-part series. I am very pleased with the many feet I have bought from Distinctive through Amazon (Sold by Mr. Vac & Mrs. Sew ). Enjoy!

When I found the product on your site, it listed the machines that it would fit and gabe a breif idea on how to use. I liked that very much. This product arrived in a very short time and works just as advertised. I found the instructions to be simple and easy to read and understand. I will continue to shop for hard to find items on your site.

Works great with my Babylock DenimPro (circa 1994?), on several fabrics (even flannel) and using zig-zag. Didn't work on straight stitch since I can't position the needle on my machine to far left or far right, center only, which causes the stitch to miss the roll entirely -- but that's a problem with my machine, not the foot.

Liked the idea of sewing my own rolled hems. However it did not have much instruction with it.. Played with it for several days before getting it to do what I wanted. Good product. Long wearing metal. Needs more instruction. Check Janome website or get Janome book on using presser feet.

I bought this distinctive hem foot after purchasing their 1/4" foot. It is a great fit for my machine and is just what I was looking for. I wanted to make small precise hems and this foot delivers. Works amazing with my lightweight fabrics on a short straight stitch. Great buy too, couldn't find it anywhere else that could even come close to the price.

I have so many feet, I just do not know what to do with them all !!!! But this one, I have only tried once so far, but I am sure I will be using it alot. I love rolled hems, and this one does the job for you, very well. It is good quality, and the instructions are easy to follow. I will be purchasing more feet in the future from Distinctive. I have to have one for everything, and with the reasonable prices from Destinctive, I will be able to do that.

I made silk scarves for Xmas gifts this year. This foot took practice, but once I figured it out, it worked well.I'm a beginning sewer, so I was quite proud of my narrow hems when I was finished.

Maybe I need more practice with this foot but I found it's difficult to use. I bought this foot to finish scarf edges & silk hems. I would recommend practicing quite a bit before you try using it on your garment.
