5.0 out of 5 stars Ruffler for sewing May 19, 2010

I gave a very disappointed review earlier this morning. Imagine my surprise when the company called me and walked me through the instructions. I sew quite well but missed part of the process. It works beautifully!!! I tried pleats an ruffles just now and was delighted. I would recommend this product and the customer service was fantastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great ruffle foot, very universal March 25, 2010

I have a brother XR-46 sewing machine, and this foot worked great with it. I also tried it on my friend's machine and it worked well with hers too. As long as you have a low-shank machine this foot will work for you. (If you take off your presser foot and there is still a long shank left in place, you have a low shank machine.)

Ruffle feet ARE a little tricky, and take some getting used to. They are jerky by nature, but once you get the hang of it it's not too bad. Make sure to read the instructions about where to insert your material. I found that it was easiest to ruffle the desired fabric and then sew it into it's desired place, rather than to ruffle and sew at the same time.

Overall, nice product! I've been making some fun ruffled skirts for my baby girl!

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't hesitate to buy this! February 3, 2011

I hesitated to buy this ruffler because of the negative reviews, but it works terrific! The instructions are very technical without detailed illustrations, so in the end I ignored them and fiddled with the foot on my own. It went on my Brother machine easily and I was making lots of ruffles within minutes! Love it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Does NOT fit Brother SE400!
It does NOT fit all low shank machines. Don't waste your money (or time searching for instructions to attach it).

And this one did exactly what it promised to do. It helped make my niece's Christmas gown prettier with the even & small pleats.
