Customer Reviews

Worked great on my older viking sewing machine.
clarece carter
The first line was beautiful, on the second line it broke and the lever got stuck in the up position and wouldn't move the feed dogs so my fabric got all bunched up.
A. Herrling
My daughter was making a quilt for 4H without a walking foot.

I finally decided to try machine quilting, as I have hand-quilted for years, and the gals in my quilting group have all said I didn't know what I was missing by not trying machine quilting...so, I ordered this walking foot. I must say, while I will always be a hand quilter, this foot works great, and is very easy to use! The price was great; so all in all I am very happy with the purchase. This seller also provides awesome customer service, as I stated in my review on the 1/4 inch quilting foot they sell.

Reading the previous reviews helped me a lot.
1. Don't throw away the cardboard backing on the package. It has a flap where the install directions are written. (Funny though. The front says the directions are a "bonus." Come on! That's ridiculous!)
2. the directions are pretty hard to understand, so take your time and think clearly. If something is in the way, keeping you from operating the needle, you have installed it incorrectly. I was able to get it right on my second try.
3. I have a 20+ year old New Home. I measured the shank and found it is a low shank. (Look online for the measurements. Not hard to figure out.) This walking foot fits perfectly (once you get it installed correctly.)
4. I have used it to sew a tshirt quilt. Works without a hitch. (I also put in a new quilting needle and special quilting thread.)

I used this walking foot for 2 baby quilts and it performed fine. The needle was a little off-center in the foot opening, but other than acting poorly as a visual guide that was not a big problem. But on the third baby quilt the plastic pieces (2) that attach it to the sewing machine broke - one by one - and eventually there was not enough to hold the walking foot properly to the machine. I broke 3 needles before I said, okay, this walking foot is going in the trash. I read in a quilting magazine recently a recommendation to buy the walking foot that is designed for your own sewing machine (mine is Janome), and avoid the ones that are "universal," so that is what I intend to do.

I made one small quilt and it worked fine. I started to make another quilt and it stopped working. I wished I had spent more money and gotten a better item.

This was a very well made walking foot that fit perfectly with my Kenmore sewing machine. The item was shipped quickly as stated in the details for shipping. Shipping and the item were resonably priced. I would highly recommend this seller and walking foot.

Have saved for months to "treat" myself to this for my quilting, BROKE IN 5 MINUTES! DON'T BUY! At least get one with a forked lever over screw that holds the needle in place! I am so unhappy with this product and refund policy of this company!

I made two quilts with this foot and it worked fine, then when I tried my third, the lever kept sticking up and the walking foot wouldn't work.

I bought this foot for my Kenmore sewing machine because my original foot just couldn't handle the thickness of my fabric while I was quilting. The foot works wonderful and what I love most is that it also can sew on very thin material so I dont have to constantly change my foot. Not only did I use this foot to make my quilts it also came in handy while making my daughters Halloween costumes. If you need to sew through many layers of material then this foot is what you need. Great price, and a great foot!
