Low cost protection is available with the Wander Alarm.
- The Wander Alarm has three components.1. The transmitter switch is attached to the door.2. A magnetic piece is attached parallel to the switch on the door frame.3. When the two are separated, a radio signal is sent to the receiver to alert the caregiver.
- The Wander Alarm will alert you when a door is opened. You can also use it on the refrigerator door, medicine cabinet or a pool gate. Place it wherever you feel there is danger lurking on the other side of the door!
- The Wander Alarm receiver can be attached to your belt loop so you are able to keep up with your daily chores as well as keep your loved ones safe. You can have up to three Wander Alarms in the same house, with all signals going to each of the receivers. (The unit is only sold as a whole, components are not sold separately.)

I purchased this product for installation on a stairwell door. I walked up one flight of steps and the signal was gone. 15 feet max.
