Ditammari (also: Ditamari ", "Tamari", "Somba, Soma, Some, Tamberma) is the language of the people of the same name of the Ditammari. These predominantly live in Togo and Benin.

The data for the number of speakers vary depending upon source between 47.500 (SIL 2002) and 196.000[4]Humans. In Togo live between 27.500 (SIL 2002) and 38.000 Ditammari speaker. In Benin there is between 20.000 (SIL 2002) to 158.000 Speaker.

In Togo the Ditammari speakers predominantly live in the region Kara, in the prefecture Kande east of Kanté at the border to Benin. The principal places in Togo, in those Ditammari is spoken are Nadoba, Wantema, Warengo and Koutougou.

In Benin the Ditammari speakers predominantly live in the Atakora Province in the Subpräfekturen Boukombe and Natitingou. Ditammari belongs to that Gur languages.
