pure listening bliss, November 15, 2002

the first heavenwood album i listened to was 'Swallow' ('98)
and it held me by the throat from start to finish with its
incredibly catchy riffs (but clean vocals used most of the times)
so i decided to check out more about these guys. well this album
is as catchy as their later release but it preserves the doomy
atmosphere and it's very romantic, even in its faster moments
(tracks 5 and 6). this is maybe the best blend of gothic doom metal i've ever heard. 'Emotional wound' is undescribable in its beauty, but then EVERY single song has its own set of haunting riffs and melodies. hear it and you too, will be lost for words :)!

This is the best gothic with dark metal album. It's debut album of the portugese band "Heavenwood". Ernesto Guerra is a briliant Death vocal. The music is perfect. The best song for me is "Lament".
Buy this album!It's the best!
