From Publishers Weekly
From a leading British lesbian magazine and book publisher come two new publications, the Diva Book of Short Stories, edited by Helen Sandler, and The Comedienne by VG Lee. The former supplies witty tales of lesbian sensibility and commonplace frustrations. Similarly, Lee's novel exhibits amusing dialogue and lighthearted observations into the life of its lesbian protagonist, Joan, a stand-up comedian with a cranky live-in mother.
