The VHI Concert is the greatest Musical Event of our time, I suppose. A night with 5 Divas all performing together, it's gonna make the crowd loco! But what I love is the last 3 songs where the Divas, plus Carole King sang together. You've got a friend is simply heart warming and beautiful. And the churchie "Testimony" was electrifying. Céline was magnificent with her 5-octave voice and Aretha Franklin was incredibly the Queen of Soul. Gloria, Mariah and Shania did pretty well too and the crowd was really great, joining in the fun. Save Music Education ! Shania,that's right. And Céline, I love you, always......

This is one of the best mixture of diva power. In order, the best performers were Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Gloria Estafan, and Shania Twain. The best songs were My All, Make It Happen, and Chain Of Fools (which was the best) This album is worth buying.

PS: whoever wrote the review who said Mariah's voice was fading away, and Celine had a 5 octave voice, was lieing

The album is quite unique, because for the first time, well-known names in the pop music industry have joined together to sing in one stage for the benefit of saving the music in schools. This is a great cause. Mariah was outstanding, Celine was great, Gloria was pure energy, Shaniah was wonderful, and of course, the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin was truly remarkable.

Hello, My name is Karin van Dijk. I bought this video and CD in Holland and it is one of the best video and CD that ever has been released. The best female singers ever. Celine Dion is the Best.

This CD is very good because it has 6 very talented women on it with there best music! They worked hard to get where they are and are doing very good things for music today.

This is the type of CD you can out in and have alot if fun singing along with. Each song is belted out by these fabulous ladies. The only downside is having to listen to the self -aggrandizing chatter in between songs.

Arguably 5 of the best female vocalists to date, and one a living legend. Who could ask for more. To think that the artists could perform together, the way they have on only a few hours rehersal, just goes to prove how versatile they all are. A brilliant concert and a joy to listen too. Worth every penny it cost to buy. When's the video/VCD coming out.

Since 1998, VH1 has made one of the most successful concert events in the music industry to date. Since VH1 began their Divas concert, they've helped raise thousands of dollars for their Save The Music foundation, which helps support music education in our schools. Nevertheless, it definitely has to take some very big talent, to make some mad cash for those kids in our schools today.

The first annual Divas Live benefit consisted of some of the biggest talent in the industry. People from Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, my favorite Gloria Estefan, and Shania Twain. The one surprising thing about the concert was that it really made me go crazy when I saw it on television. Unfortunately, there was some dissapointing matters in the process. One of them, was courtesy of Aretha Frankklin. Although I'm somewhat familiar with her music, the only song that is on the album is her duet with Mariah Carey, and the end song, Natural Woman with all the divas. I was very dissapointed with that emotion, because she performed some other great songs from her last studio album, A Rose Is Still A Rose, which made it to the televised performance. That wasn't the only performance I was upset with. When Mariah Carey did My All, it started out fine, but went straight to a dance remix. Although, many of the divas might seem to make up for it, with Celine Dion and Carole King performing The Reason, and Shania Twain performing her twang from Come On Over.

Since 1998, it becvame a big event in the procress for all ages. Unfortunately, the past 2 years of Divas performances seemed to be unfortunate, with taped in advance performances with the tribute to Diana Ross in 2000, and Aretha Franklin in 2001. The first performance, and its second performance in 1999, truly make it worthwhile. If you can't find the second one, get the first one, and enjoy the divas.

this CD is absolutely a jewel!!!!!!
I really am impressed with the voices of the divas, they're excellent performers... but I must say, the best of the divas is SHANIA TWAIN!!!!! please, listen this voice! girl-power kind, emotional, simply wonderful!!!! maybe she has not the history of years and years like the others, but she was born when God was inspired. She looks young, so pretty (charming face, and what a body! I wish I have it!), and please... ooh these songs!!! are simply out-of-this-world! I wish I have written her songs!!!! and she knocked the other divas with her "speech". Buy the video. and don't forget Shania's the best!!!!!!!
