These sheets are wonderful in so many ways, that I almost hate to mention my one complaint -- the fitted sheet won't stay on the mattress! The pockets are nice and deep, so it's not a matter of not having enough room -- the elastic just has too much give. Each morning we wake up with the fitted sheet sneaking up the edge of the mattress or anchored underneath us by our heads on the pillow. If you don't mind using sheet clips to keep the fitted sheet in place, this set is nice for the price. The sheets wash well, hold their color, fit a deep mattress nicely, maintain their satiny feel after washing . . . you get the idea.

I should have read the product feature more carefully and noticed that it is 100% polyester. I come from China and there I used to use a satin set during summer which was not real silk but 100% cotton. And the price was similar to this. Assuming this product would be the same, I purchased it for my first summer in the US.

It is not a successful purchase. I sweat quite a lot during summer, and the moment I began to sweat while lying on my new satin sheet, I realized that this could not be cotton. You don't feel this sheet absorb your sweat at all! And your skin cannot breath on it. In my life I have never used polyester bedding. Always 100% cotton. It seems my skin simply cannot adjust itself to this 100% polyester satin sheet.

So the conclusion is: 1) if you are used to cotton beddings; 2) if you sweat a lot during summer night, then think twice before purchasing this product.

I bought the platinum and the black sets. Both sets are nice looking but the black set needs to be washed before you put it on the bed. CAUTION!!! Wash the black set alone! It will bleed and change the color of other washables. Another note, while both sets look nice, they tear easily. I don't recommend purchasing these sets as you will be sorely disappointed.

After buying a smaller mattress I found myself in need of new sheets but the company I bought my last set of satin sheets from went out of business. At the time these were the only satin sheets in the color I needed and ordered them without a second thought.

The first thing I noticed when the sheets arrived was that they were very thin and light, almost cheap feeling. The flat sheet was almost to small for my queen sized bed and the fitted sheet barely had room to spare. I first washed them with a bit of white vinegar to hold the color in however they still discolored my mattress and pillows. I had to remake the bed every day because the fitted sheet would slip off the bed corners when I moved, I had to purchase a set of elastic clips to hold it in place. After about three weeks I noticed some piling and stretch marks on the fitted sheet from the elastic restraining the sheet while I turned in bed. I bought the sheets in July of 2012 and finally had to buy a new set of sheets that December after these ones ripped near the elastic.

I'm giving these a two because the color was as the same as depicted in the picture and from the fact that they are very smooth and silky. Sadly these sheets just aren't meant to last.

I'll admit, my honey and I quickly learned we weren't a fan of silk sheets. We thought we'd try out this set, but in Alaska- silk is just too cold. For a hotter enviorment these would be great! They're nice and cool when you hop into bed. But because of our personal preference, I'm not going to rate this review on 'feel'. Rather I'm going to focus just on quality.

We used these sheets for about two months. After two washes they had started to fray considerably (especially the fitted sheet). By the end of the two months the fitted sheet was rendered almost useless because it had frayed so much- and was beginning to get itchy. The top sheet heald up a little better, but began to get slightly wrinkly (like chronic wrinkles- that couldn't be straightened?). I'm assuming it's because the quality was kind of lacking. The pillow cases have heald up nicely, but we don't use them- only our kids do.

Nevertheless, we changed these sheets out and haven't used them since. The color is a bit more vibrant than pictured (we bought the gold). It's very bright- not as subtle as in the picture. But we used the top sheet to make a beautiful canopy over our bed- it looks amazing. And we used the fitted one to make a matching dog bed- very cute. For the price, I suppose these are okay. But you do get what you pay for. If you're looking for something pretty for a guest room- these would be quite nice. But I wouldn't recommend them for every day use.

I bought these sheets one year ago. They looked just like the picture, and the price was right. At first they were great and very soft to sleep on. After a few washes the color faded a little, and now they have developed a really harsh, almost cotton-like texture. The places where I sleep on have completely lost their satin-y feel and it makes me want to discard them.

I bought these sheets because actual good satin sheets are expensive and I don't have a hundreds of dollars to spend on them.

While the sheets look and feel good they are not functional enough to sleep on. Keeping these sheets on the bed is a chore because they slide off and won't stay on the mattress. So be prepared to spend half the night getting up and tucking them back under the mattress. Also these sheets are so slick that the pillow will literally slide out from underneath your head.

I've thrown away the fitted sheet which is basically garbage and kept the flat sheet and the pillow cases which work fine with a regular fitted sheet.

My advice....don't bother.

First the good news. They feel exactly like they look. Luxurious. Now for the bad news. You only get 1 pillow case. And you can't keep the top sheet on the bed. It just slides off and wakes you up. I'm an insomniac & I don't need that. So I am only useing the fitted bottom sheet & the 1 pilloe case. Maby when winter comes a blanket will keep the top sheet on.

While the sheets are nice looking (except it's hard to get the wrinkles out) and also very soft, it's impossible to sleep on them. One night I woke up and the covers had slid off of me in my sleep (they were laying on the floor at the foot of the bed.) Another time I accidentally touched one of the other pillows while I was laying down and it look off like a hockey puck, slid all the way off the bed. They should use these in a slapstick movie, it's really comical to see all the crazy things that happen while trying to use them. On the positive side, if it weren't for the slip n slide nature, they are quite attractive and the softness just feels great.
