5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
It's hard to find music like this. It's a little like a film score, but it doesn't really sound like there is supposed to be a visual accompaniment like those often do. Really beautiful piano playing, at times very melancholy, without ever sounding pretentious or cheesy. I could easily imagine drinking a bottle of good wine and staring at the ceiling on a rainy evening to...

2.0 out of 5 stars Artist is Great! - Music is Great! - Production of the CD is terrible!
Divenire
The music on this album is wonderful (heard several tracks on a local Classical Music Station. I own one of the Artists (Ludovico Einaudi) earlier albums, which was produced by BMG. The quality of the music is matched by the quality of the recording, over-all CD and packaging.
The Artists newest album, DIVENIRE, as purchased from Amazon is produced by...

5.0 out of 5 stars Unblieveably AMAZING!!, September 10, 2007

If music was the language of the soul...this would be the greatest thing ever written. It is now the soundtrack for my days - filled with motivation, peace, understanding, renewal, and happiness. What a wonderful gift Ludovico Einaudi has given us. His talent = our treasure.

Unlike some of the albums purchased based on listening to one or two tracks on the digital cable 'Soundscapes' music channel, this one is well worth investing in if you like that kind of music. Since I rarely do reviews, the fact that I'm spending the time to do this is indicative of how much I enjoy this album. It should be a must-buy for those who like classical piano, space/New Age music or (as I believe it was described somewhere) "acid jazz". Sorry, for a more in-depth review, see those who are more articulate than I am.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastique!, September 23, 2008
One of the most beautiful compilations of piano music I have ever heard. Mesmerizing! I'll leave the more technical reviews to the music professionals. As a piano music lover I can only say that I've listened to this CD for so many hours that I hear it in my dreams. And that's not a bad thing!

I first heard Einaudi on an Arts program, then came over to Amazon to listen to more. At first I considered his piano solos, but, after reading the reviews, purchased this orchestrated version. An unbelievable CD. The piano is the soulful center to an orchestra that includes a synthesizer. Many moods from lilting to powerful crescendos. Post-modern classical music at its finest.

I never thought I would be listening to music like this (especially the piano), but after I listened to this CD, it left me breathless. Part New Age, part Instrumental, part Classical, part Electronic, and part Ambient. Very nice indeed. Do yourself a favor and purchase this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Devenire, April 20, 2009
A wonderful, creative and unusual piece of music. Ludovico Einaudi is probably the premier composer of contemporary classical music today. I look forward to hearing more of his truly original and beautiful music.

This is an incredibly beautiful album. His passion shines forth in each piece and draws the listener in. If you wish to sit back and be swepted away to a place of pure joy, this is the CD for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even bettter than I expected it to be, August 8, 2008

I often have "Soundscapes" on during the day, but do not leave on the TV monitor, as I cannot always see it. However, when I do hear a song that grabs my attention, I will walk over and turn on the monitor to see the name and the artist of the song. Many times over the last months, I would see that the song was by Ludovico Einaudi, so many times, in fact, that I eventually bought this album. What a great decision that was! I own hundreds of New Age or instrumental CDs by great artists, but this is superlative music. There are no weak or throw-away cuts here, just powerful, emotional sounds that will grab your heart and not let go. For the first week, I never listened to anything else, and now I listen every night before bed, have it on my iPod for my car. Einaudi is a masterful musical talent; you will not be disappointed if you chose to add this one to your library.
