I love this CD. Three very different pieces, but each one showing a different side of the Violin, (and Viola). The Concertino is punchy and tight with an angular, muscular energy. Encomiums is amazingly beautiful in the first and second sections, and a fun romp in the last movement. and The Concert Variations are introspective and haunting. The four soloists do great with some very difficult, virtuosic material. Highly Recommended!
