I bought this mask, before heading on a family cruise to the Caribbean. we had plans to snorkel a few times on the trip, but in the past we have found the provided equipment to be pretty basic. The masks are usually hard to adjust, and tend to leak easily. We only snorkel every couple of years when we vacation, so we didn't want to spend a lot either.

This mask was perfect, the price was a little high for something I wouldn't use very often, but the mask sealed great. I never had to worry about water leaking into the mask, and there was a small valve in the nose area to let any water out. The strap had a release mechanism that allowed you to tighten and loosen the band very easily.

The snorkel its self works very well also. The valve at the top closes when you go under water to prevent water from coming into the snorkel. It has a one way valve at the bend, that allows you to blow out any water that makes it in before the top valve shuts. My only comment is that you need to make sure you breath out a little when you get back to the surface to open up the top valve. When you get to the surface, sometimes the seal on the top valve prevents it from opening on its own. It can be a little unnerving to resurface, and find your first attempt at breathing in, is blocked. Once you get used to it though, diving and resurfacing can be handled seamlessly.

Overall I found that snorkeling with this kit was much more enjoyable than using the standard equipment, used on must snorkeling tours.

Mask and snorkle are just fine. The mask fits nicely and the snorkle works flawlessly. I got this for my son, and he likes the thick black frame.

FYI: The mask does have a purge valve, and it does not come with a case for the mask.

I'm sure this is great for a lot of people but it simply didn't fit my head that well. The seal around the face (temple area) was not good. If it fits, I believe this is a good deal.

Very good snorkel set. Mask fit my husband well. He has a mustache so we can't really comment on how well it kept water out. However we can say that the device on the snorkel that prevents water from entering is amazing. My husband was able to dive underwater to retrieve something I dropped, and no water entered the snorkel. I looked at more expensive sets at dive shops and they did not make this claim.
