4.0 out of 5 stars Diversity Directive, August 19, 2001

This review is from: The Diversity Directive: Why Some Initiatives Fail & What to Do About It (Hardcover)
Hayles and Russell do a stellar job of explaining Diversity in tangible, concrete, user-friendly terms. They avoid the esoteric jargon and verbiage that typically accompany the "softer" disciplines in the business and corporate world. In its place they identify operational definitions and processes as well as empirical results models that can actually be measured using conventional methods. This is an extremely refreshing book that effectively (and efficiently) serves as a wondersful resource for Diversity professionals. It also, just as effectively, educates other interested stakeholders who simply want to better understand this phenomenon that is poised to be the defining factor that will most probably determine the winners and lossers of the early twenty-first century.
