Mr. Young's analysis of biblical hebrew is one of a rare examples of Old Testament scholarship showing awareness of how language really works. In contrast to many other approaches in this field which have not been able to free themselves of a somewhat naive and simplifying classroom smell, this book is in tune with the methodological standards of modern linguistic fieldwork.
