In this book, I have tried to cover every aspect of the differences between British and American English, from spelling differences to pronunciation differences; even comparing different idioms and expressions used on the other side of the pond. I hope you enjoy the book with all its intrinsic humor, but I think having read the book, you'll be just as fascinated as I am by the vast linguistic gulf that separates the two countries. By the way, did you know that Americans have not always driven on the right? The details are in the book. Most books give a good translation between British and American English, but this book goes into a little more detail on the oprigins and reasons for the differences.
Despite this, I'd recommend this book for those curious about linguistic differences, or someone considering relocating from one side of the pond to the other.
This little book was fun to read to find all the ways our two English languages are so different. Perfect. Use it with the travel guide when going across the pond.Published 13 months ago by Nolen

This is just the book to have when establishing a relationship with a Brit. Same language...different meanings.
Good help along the way. Amusing, anyway.
This book provides some good information (and some not so good, too), but the problem it that the book is so poorly organized that it is utterly useless as a reference. Read morePublished on March 20, 2011 by Michael Kilby
