You Won't Want to Put This Book Down!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Divided Loyalties (Paperback)
A fast moving and stiring story that leaves the reader wanting more. . . Weaved throughout this modern day story of espionage, terrorism and betrayal set mostly in Italy and framed in a military context. is just the right mix of Christian evangelicalism. While being true to the storyline, L. K. Malone, skillfully makes a clear and accurate presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ without "bashing" the faiths, or lack thereof, of the other characters in her story. Obviously this is a labor of love and the result of extensive research. Although there's a surprise around just about every corner, or turn of the page, the story is easy enough to follow, although it gets a little confusing at the end (maybe by intent), which left me wondering, "who was that guy working for?" As a former Marine, I found the details mostly accurate although some minor errors were a little distracting (e.g., the term "soldier" typically refers to Army personnel, never a Marine or Sailor(Navy). Reminds me a lot of any of W.E.B. Griffin's series of military thrillers, only with a PG-13 (violence) rating. All in all it's a great read that I recommend to anyone, regardless of their faith. Would be a great tool for any evangelical Christian to use (recommend to an unsaved friend)in communicating the Gospel in an entertaining and non-threatening manner. Great job!

WOW,
This review is from: Divided Loyalties (Paperback)
Giselle, the daughter of a high-ranking navy captain, has lived on secure military bases around the world, isolated and protected. Until Raz comes into her life, and touches her heart in a way no one else has. After Raz saves her life from terrorists, Giselle realizes she's fallen in love. Unfortunately, Raz has a dark secret that he can't share. When Giselle stumbles across it, she will do anything to escape, except she isn't quite sure who or what she's running from, as anyone and everyone seem to have a hidden agenda. Giselle travels around the world and back to Italy in his romantic supense novel. A GREAT read for male or female. Made me wish I could have a man like this!

LK Malone did a superb job weaving twist after mind-bending twist into this masterful piece! It has been a long time since I've read a book cover-to-cover practically without blinking! The plot is moved along quickly and does not leave the reader hanging.

Great Read, Hard to Put Down,
By A Customer
This review is from: Divided Loyalties (Paperback)
I really enjoyed this fast paced, action filled story. It was hard to put it down. I am certainly looking forward to more! The gospel was presented very clearly and simply without condemning any religion. I would highly recommend the book. This is a great book for men as well as women. Hope we don't have to wait too long for a sequel.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!! An excellent tale with a vivacious and spunky heroine by the name of Giselle. Lots of twists and turns in the plot. A very understanding, tasteful and sympathetic view of the three Abrahamic faiths: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. I concur with one of my fellow reviewers that this tale deserves a sequel. Nicely done, L.K. Malone...nicely done.

Wonderfully pleasant!,
This review is from: Divided Loyalties (Paperback)
I first picked up Divided Loyalties in July of 2001 at a little Christian bookstore that went out of business very shortly afterwards. Nobody knew that the events in this book could be true just after September 11, 2001. The book is very fast-paced and action-packed. L.K. Malone produced a suspense-filled storyline with many twists. Espionage, love, kidnapping, war, assassination. There are many words that can describe this book. Giselle first meets Raz Chayil at the beginning of the book at the age of 18. When kidnappers try to grab Giselle, Raz heroically saves the day. Giselle's father, Admiral Hardy then places Giselle in self-defense training by none other than Chayil. Giselle and Chayil have a strong romance throughout the book. Filled with terrorism and espionage, this book is a MUST read for romantic suspense readers. I am, however, a little cautious to give a spoiler alert. Chayil is Jewish and throughout the book Jewish Chayil and Catholic Giselle come into conflict. I am reminded of the scripture warning of unequally yoked marriages. A small spoiler alert. Chayil finally reads Giselle's Bible and becomes a Messianic Jew by the end of the book.

This book was faced paced and difficult, in fact impossible, to put down! Just when you think you have the story all figured out....you realize you don't. You're not sure who the good guys and the bad guys are. Like one reviewer said you really don't know the WHOLE story until the end. I had a lot of admiration for Giselle. She was a very strong and smart woman. I also fell in love with Raz. He was a man of many secrets but he did have a true love for Giselle.
This story had it all...military intrigue, action, suspense and romance. I highly recommend this book. It's one that you can easily read again and again and see things you missed the first time. I hope we see more books in the future by L.K. Malone.

This was a terrific book! If you like Dee Henderson's books, you'll love this first book by LK Malone. I finished it, and then read it again! (I've only done that about 2 times before!) This is one of those books that won't make it to ebay, it's staying in my library! Get your own copy, you won't regret it!

This book, the first by author L.K. Malone, shows that the author did his homework. It was very well researched, so that everything seemed possible. I have read this book several times, and each time have picked up something new that I missed the other times around. If you are looking for an exciting, intelligent read about a very relavant topic, buy it today! Dont bother to check it out of the library, because you will want to read it again and again.
