Virtue describes how to discern true guidance when we receive it, and provides examples of how to know it when we've got it. I especially love the real-life stories Virtue includes, because they help bring her ideas of talking to God and angels to life -- and sometimes they describe what happened on occasions when divine messages have been ignored!

DIVINE GUIDANCE provides three steps for formulating questions, and four steps to start seeing angels around every person we meet. Virtue also provides side-by-side examples of spiritual messages with the less-helpful lower-self messages, as well as a table showing characteristics of true and false guidance. The main emphasis of this book is to help people develop and enhance their "clairs"... clairaudience, clairvoyance, clairsentience, and claircognizance... because such expanded awareness opens our ability to clearly hear, see, feel and know what is real around us. Lots of fun and easy exercises (such as toning) are included, as well as some very helpful prayers.

DIVINE GUIDANCE is for people of all faiths, races, ages, and nationalities. People who are interested in discovering and fulfilling their life mission will enjoy this book more, simply because messages of divine guidance tend to urge us to make a positive contribution to the world.

This book was my first introduction to Doreen's books and the subject of Angels....and it was wonderful. Very enlightening and well presented, it opened up a new world of possibilities to me. I have since purchased most of her books and audio books. I have found that in some cases the books are more comprehensive than the audio, however, the guided meditations on audio cannot be replaced by the books; so both work together very well.

At the same time I was reading Doreen's Divine Guidance book, I was reading Conversations With God by Neale Donald Walsh. These writings compliment each other very well and provide a comprehensive approach for those going within to find their truths.

Doreen also has a website, angeltherapy.com, which offers additional information. I am sorry to hear that she is no longer doing angel readings, for I would be first in line!

Doreen writes in such beautiful, simple language. A very easy read. From page one you are completely hooked and find it difficult to put down. All of my old belief systems have changed as a result of Doreen's teachings. This book taught me that whenever I need ANYTHING I can ask for help, let go of my worries and my needs will be met with the assistance of God, his angels and the spirit world. She teaches you that we are ALL connected and ONE with God and the spirit world and that our guardian angels never leave our side. This book has brought me comfort, reassurance & a renewed spirituality.

I had never heard of Doreen Virtue or her books and a friend found this book and asked if I wanted to look at it. I spent about 15 minutes and immediately knew the writer had the ability to communicate with angels. I was impressed. I have a huge spiritual library and don't believe in religion and usualy only get impressed by only the greatest books ie Conversations with God, Abraham:Hicks cassettes, Real Magic and many more.
I was single and looking for a great loving relationship with a special woman and not having much luck.
After about 6 months of trying several dating methods and getting poor results I got hold of this book and went directly to the two chapers on loving relationships and soulmates and spent 5 nights reading the 2 chapters and following the instructions and writing a full page decribing the Dream Soulmate woman I was looking for. I meditated a little on my soulmate page each night for 6 months and then met someone who in 1 second when I saw her left me speechless with her beauty. Athough we spoke different language and couldn't communicate without dictionaries we quickly fell in love and were married in 3 months and now 2 years later we are still in deep love together in an amazing match made in heaven. My relatives were all blown away at our sudden wedding and impressed by my much younger, very beautiful and extremely talented bride with multiple degrees and even a World Championship and I am still convinced it was all because of the Divine Guidance book's instructions.
Now I am out of work and will quickly read the chapters on employment and career. I believe in angels and God and am not impressed by the bible or churches as I think they take our power away from us. Doreen with this amazing book helps us tap into the Universal Power and Love of all the heavenly beings to help us fulfill our dreams. Every day I am thankful for this book and have recommended it to many single people. It is one of the best I have ever checked out and I have checked out hundreds of good spiritual books. I understand some people feel this book is not believable and nonsense and I feel they are missing out on something that could truly empower them.

This book is an answer to my prayers. Written in simple, lay-people's terms, Doreen Virtue writes about the unlimited inspiration and transcendence we have within us all. If anyone tells you that someone outside of yourself has all the answers and/or solutions to your problems, this book will discredit that belief. If you have doubts and fears about your own intuition and conscience, this book will dispel that as well.

As a long-time teacher of mediumship, I hadn't found a book to recommend to my students that truly helped them to understand how Spirit delivers messages. Doreen's book clarifies the different ways of receiving messages from the world of Spirit and makes it easier for the first-time student to understand the process of Spirit communication. Although Doreen and I differ about our approaches to who is speaking from Spirit, this book is full of concrete examples, lessons, and ideas for any spiritual seeker to use. I now recommend this book to all my students and clients who want to read about Spirit communication and who are interested in experiencing it for themselves.

I find this book very hard to put down. It's very interesting and goes into detail about how to better communicate with the angels, god and spirit guides. It is written so people of any positive religious path can read it. I am Wiccan and substitute Goddess when she refers to God. She even encourages substitutions if you prefer when she refers to God. I am half way through so far and can't wait to read more. I definatly want to read her other books after reading this one.

Finally, an accurate and accessible interpretation of "A Course in Miracles," complete with simple applications that truly bring about an awareness of God's peace, joy, and the ease with which God answers our prayers. I am astounded at the amazing changes that have taken place in my life since applying her gentle reminders. My willingness to devote myself to the awareness of God has also been bolstered tremendously, especially as I remember to ask for guidance in all areas of my life, both small and large. As it says in the Course, "There is no order of difficulty in miracles." It is so simple to not only ask for what we wish but to ask for the assistance to be willing and able to receive these gifts...Simply extending my prayers in this way has truly turned my life around. Thank you, Doreen, for being such a happy and willing instrument of God. The whole world should read this book about five times each. God bless everyone.

This book has been a major blessing in my life. I learned how to receive spiritual guidance by utilizing the information contained in "Divine Guidance," and it helped me understand the psychic experiences I already had. Doreen spells out in an easy-to-follow manner how anyone can receive spiritual guidance from God and the angels. Furthermore, it gives a great overview of how to know when you truly are receiving guidance from heaven, or if it is from your fear-based lower self.

I have recommended this book to literally hundreds of people over the last few years, and I am so grateful to Doreen for writing it. It truly helps people understand how to know when they are receiving higher guidance, and helps them heal and improve their lives. It is completely non-denominational, and is applicable to anyone regardless of religious or spiritual background/preference. If you are looking for a way to receive heaven's help, Divine Guidance will certainly be a blessing in your life as well!

I originally wrote a review of this book a couple of years ago, and I feel compelled to add some additional comments. This book completely changed my life, and I have seen the material in the book change the lives of others as well.

For those who are open-minded, the book provides detailed, step-by-step instructions for communicating more fully with the Divine on your own. Dr. Virtue emphasizes a positive, easy-does-it approach that anyone can use, and she explains intuition in clear and simple terms that we can all understand. For people who may have a more skeptical approach to new age spirituality and metaphysics, the book provides a new level of understanding as far as angelic communication and intuition is concerned. I myself am a former skeptic, but reading the book helped me to have my own experiences that convinced me of the presence of angels in my life, and I now communicate with them on a full-time basis. Many of my angel reading clients have had similar experiences. This book is not about reading someone else's truth- it's about finding your own truth and having experiences in your life to reflect a higher level of understanding your relationship with God and the angelic realm.

Dr. Doreen Virtue has published a truly priceless piece of work in Divine Guidance. She teaches all readers about their inner divinity, and shows them how they can easily have clear, open communications with God's angels.
