This is a truly hypnotic recording. It isn't music, but a vehicle to tune in to our inner being and tune out the mundane.
If you meditate, this will enhance your experience. This is great to go to sleep by.

ancient studies,

Gregg Braden, from what I know of him, has devoted much of his life to studying ancient religious texts, as well as modern scientific discoveries. This CD seems to be the representation of those studies into music. The music is somewhat familiar to me, which is comforting, as the music is the song of the interpretation of god's name, which Gregg Braden tells us is encoded into our DNA and the DNA of all living organisms. The transition from DNA coding into the music includes the numerology of ancient languages, Hebrew in this particular situation, as it correlates with the numerology involved in the science of the atomic mass of 4 basic elements: carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen. These 4 elements are the elements promiment in our DNA. I'm in awe of the synchronicity and connection of these seeming dissimilar sciences and music and spirituality and religion. I'm a skeptic of religion and spiritual studies in general, but Gregg Bradens studies make me question and wonder and maybe even start to believe there is something. I'm not saying what it is, as I don't know, but it can't be just a coincidence to ignore.
Good meditative CD too!

Divine Sound,
This review is from: The Divine Name (Audio CD)
As a transpersonal psychologist and meditation teacher I was skeptical of the claims of this CD. After using the CD several times at bedtime I have the same woderful, mystical expericences each time. I drift off immediately into another state of consciousness which is either sleep and/or transcendental. It gently lulls my brain waves into another frequency which is beyond thoughts. In Transcendental Meditation practice we call this Pure Consciouness. I RX this CD for inducing sleep quickly. Whether or not it produces the vibrations of God is something that I would not know. But some people claim that Pure Consciouness is an aspect of God.

After Reading about "The Divine Name of God" I had to listen to the CD. I firmly believe in the discovery of the importance of the Divine Name and the relationship to each individual on the earth. Having said that....the tape is to bring you to a closer level of communication with the Divine and help with meditation. I could not wait to experience this beautiful feeling. Instead of providing relaxation is caused a very uneasy feeling within my soul. This disturbs me a great deal because I consider myself a very spiritual individual. Maybe I just need to listen to it again.....

Interesting effect,

The CD is accompanied by a brief booklet that explains the "logic" behind this creation by Jonathan Goldman & Gregg Braden. The material seemed to have quite a few gaps in the explanation & logic, but then most folks wouldn't buy this CD on the merit of its scientific validity :)
That aside, the effect on the listener is interesting - it soothes and calms you (it did for me & a couple of friends at least). A few times, I actually seemed to feel a sense of being detached from my immediate environment. Note though that this hasn't happened more than a couple of times and my friends haven't experienced this effect at all. Buy the CD if you're interested in experimenting with different techniques for meditation and/or relaxation.

Dealing with trauma's, for a long time, 20 years, my deep sleep patterns were not working. Making it impossible for me to sleep more than lightly for a few hours. I play the divine name cd when i go to bed. Since playing it i fall asleep again very quickly. This is really a divine gift.

The sounds (because I wouldn't call it music) can be meditative, but if you're already in an edgy mental mood this CD may rub you the wrong way. I still give it 4 stars, but with an asterisk.
