Finally the answers I was searching for!,
By Truth Seeker (Chicago) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Divine Plan of the Ages: An Illustrated Edition (Paperback)
God's ways are mysterious, but as an all-loving, all-wise Creator, I believe that He has allowed His creatures that desire to, to know him in an intimate father-child relationship. But looking around in this crazy, war-filled world, one sometimes wonders "Where is He?" and "Why isn't God doing anything to help us if He loves us so much?" This book showed me how to put the pieces in place - by studying the Bible topically instead of trying to read it in order, and by learning that certain principles valid in one time period can't be applied to others. There are so many little clues and treasures in the Bible that easily are missed - but so many "coincidences" that once found, it is easy to believe that the Bible truly is divinely inspired. The timeline Chart of the Ages is especially helpful in deciphering exactly how God has been dealing with man throughout the ages, and what the ultimate plans and purposes are, with the "aha!" reason as to why God permits evil. I recommend the book highly to anyone searching for truth and wanting something firm to hold on to during the "time of trouble" the Bible speaks about. Keep your Bible close by because many, many scripture texts are cited throughout the lessons.

The Lords' Return What 's His Object?,
This review is from: The Divine Plan of the Ages: An Illustrated Edition (Paperback)
The author is very clear about a number of Bible subjects. He quotes quite a few scriptures and gives answers about a number of topics. He is an understandable writer. We appreciated the chapter on our Lords' return as there are a lot of different ideas about what His return is to accomplish. It's worth the time to read.

A source of hope for this fear-filled world,
By
This review is from: The Divine Plan of the Ages: An Illustrated Edition (Paperback)
This is a reprinting of a historical classic (with added illustrations by the publisher) that was the third bestseller in the world in the early 1900s (after the Bible and Chinese Almanac). It unlocks the harmony of the Bible, revealing scriptural concepts clouded by the religious world today, for example: why God allows suffering; the future role of the Christian in God's kingdom; details about the physical and spiritual worlds; how the "Day of Judgment" will educate rather than alienate; a description of God's plan for peace on earth. Truly a source of hope for this fear-filled world.

Excellent Detail of Complicated Biblical Concepts,
By Todd Alexander "Brand Evangelist" (Earth...for now) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Divine Plan of the Ages: An Illustrated Edition (Paperback)
Describes the plan of God in a logical, easy to understand sequence. Describes God's Covenants in different periods of history and shows how God dealt with mankind differently based on those Covenants. Shows how the Bible divides human history into three parts; First, Second and Third Dispensations outlined in 2 Peter 3:6-7,13. Reveals the true purpose of Jesus' sacrificial death to be a Ransom for all mankind, not just Christians. Describes the opportunity of the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus and shows that following Jesus is more than just an acknowledgement that He is the Savior...it is a path of full consecration to do His will. Very good book. Read it once a year for maximum impact.
