From Library Journal
This is not a guidebook or textbook but rather a lively personal account of Auerbach's experiences as a diver and photographer in some of the world's best scuba-diving spots. His many amusing stories about minor mishaps, missed photographic opportunities, and experiences on board diving boats will be appreciated by both experienced and "armchair" divers. He also scatters throughout the text pithy commentaries on marine lifeforms seen while diving. His pictures are excellent, but it is Auerbach's storytelling and the way he captures the excitement of underwater exploration that makes this book noteworthy. It is a complementary addition to the many excellent technical books available.
