I went through a very unpleasant divorce several years ago. I bought this book part way through the process. Amazingly, I found that my ex-husband seemed to be using it as his guide through the process. He had used almost every dirty trick in the book on me.

Now my daughter is going through a divorce. Her husband's attorney is really playing dirty. I bought this book for her to use. Since reading it she has turned the situation around. She has and still is playing fair, however, now she understands how to deal with the more vicious aspects of this attorney's bag of tricks.

A good book to help with some of the crazy and nasty things that go on during a divorce. Has a lot of practical advice on how to remain in control, and distance yourself from some of the emotional trauma of the divorce process. Tips on how to negotiate more effectively and to reduce power struggles that will lengthen out the process. Helpful.

I was thrilled to finally find a resource for my clients that can provide them with such essential, and empowering, information. Going through a divorce is recognized as one of the most emotionally challenging experiences any one will endure and a critical first step for taking care of oneself in this process is supplementing emotions with knowledge. This book is my first choice when I begin working with clients going through a divorce; once they read this I find they are much better prepared for what's ahead.

As a private detective specializing in family law investigations for over ten years, I have seen many people struggle through the divorce process with little or no direction. This can be a costly mistake as strategy is of vital importance during divorce. Jeffery Leving's book outlines that strategy in simple to understand terms. This book is worth its weight in gold for the knowledge and wisdom Leving has honed over the past thirty years. If you can't afford to hire the best family law attorney in the world at least you can buy his book and learn his strategy.
