You Can't Help Everyone,
By
This review is from: Divorcing the Devil (Urban Christian) (Paperback)
Divorcing The Devil by Dwan Abrams enters the life of psychoanalyst, Skyler Little. Skyler is entangled in the lives of her patients, family and friends. They all come to her for advice and she feels obligated to counsel them. Skyler finds herself in the middle of a love triangle. Not of her own, of course, but that of her patient and friend. Will she reveal the truth to her friend? Will she keep the confidence and trust of her patient?
There are many twists to the story. Everyone seems to be connected. And the central connection is Skyler. Her husband, Donovan, supports her in all she does. He is there for her during every twist and turn. Even when Skyler finds out that her best friend's husband is cheating on her. It all comes full circle when Skyler finds out who he is cheating with. Abrams connects the dots wonderfully. There were a lot of descriptions of name brand things that I think could have been left out. I would have preferred more focus on the details of the situation and not so much of the things around. I do not get why the title is Divorcing The Devil, but the book was entertaining. Divorcing the Devil was a great read. A great story was told about forgiveness. This is one of those books, that when you're not reading you are constantly thinking about the characters and wondering what's going to happen next.

I must admit that I was surprisingly taken back by this book. I got the book to research format/structure for the book that I'm writing. My intention was to read the book from a technical viewpoint, however I ended up completely throwing that out of the window. I read the book in one day - it was awesome. The storyline was wonderful and I could actually visualize the characters. I was hooked from beginning to end. The only thing that didn't sit well with me was how perfect Donovan was. I found myself questioning, do Donovan's of the world really exist? And yes, I do realize that this is fiction - a women can dream!
I highly recommend this book---and it should be a bestseller.

Divorcing the Devil by Dwan Abrams is an excellent read! This book had me flipping pages quicker than my fingers could take me... all because I wanted to see what would happen next in the world of Skyler Little. I loved the way Dwan tied the characters together, but the ending totally got me! I was so sad when I couldn't turn another page. But I am excited that Dwan's newest book Married Strangers is ready for the taking! Excellent job Dwan! Definitely Christian Fiction at its finest!

A decent attempt,

Rather amateurish and predictable. Somehow, everyone was always tied back to someone which was a bit unrealistic. With more time and attention to detail, this could have been a good book. The ending was rather disappointing.

Loved this book. It's great to read about urban christian fiction that's truly relatable. I was very glad to see that a professional such as Sky not afraid to pray in her profession. I could go on and on but i'd rather let you read the book and judge for yourself. Get this book!

I really enjoyed reading this book. Ms. Abrams captures your attention at the beginning of the book and keeps your attention until the end. The ending is a surprise. I encourage everyone to read this book. I definately will read more books from this author.

What a wonderfully written book! To God be the Glory! The main reason I loved this book is the author was able to use the Word of God as the only source WITHOUT being over-bearing. I love God. Make no mistake. But the fact that the author was able to apply the principles of God with results, nothing lacking, nothing needed, was outstanding! I will definately purchase more of Dwan Abrams' books. I am a major fan! Be Blessed!!!
