Book Description

Trinket and the Gang Will Stop At Nothing To Clear A Diva's Husband of Murder Charges. "You'd think a midnight prowler would have sense enough to get out after being discovered by a group of middle-aged women armed with flower vases. Or at least stop what he was doing. Not this one. Despite our menacing appearance, he kept opening cabinet doors and drawers. "Our intruder wore what looked like a black Ninja outfit. It did not flatter. He was a bit chunky and not much taller than me. Nor did he move very fast as Gaynelle and I bore down on him like a freight train. Instead of screaming in fear and fleeing out the front door-which stood wide open to help facilitate his escape-he turned away from the cabinet he had opened and threw something heavy. It was a Mason jar, and it hit poor Gaynelle right smack in the middle of the forehead. She dropped to the floor like a sack of flour. I looked down at her, then up at the masked intruder. Eyes glittered at me from the tiny eyeholes, and as he seemed to be unarmed-no more Mason jars at hand-I let out a bellow and charged him." VIRGINIA BROWN is the author of more than fifty novels in romance and mystery. Next up in her bestselling Dixie Divas Mysteries: Divas and Dead Rebels. And coming soon: the Blue Suede Memphis Mysteries and Virginia's mystery/drama saga, Dark River Road.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another hilarious romp with the Dixie Divas! November 7, 2011
Virginia Brown does it again with the outlandishly funny Dixie Diva Blues.

Trinket Truevine along with Bitty Hollandale (and, of course, Chin Leng aka Chitling) are up to their eyeballs in murder and mayhem once again, dragging the rest of the Dixie Divas with them. Leave it to these two crazy Southern cousins to end up smack dab in the middle of murder and mystery. Constantly creating havoc for the Holly Springs, MS police department, Trinket and Bitty end up in more than a few hair raising incidents, including yet another visit to the Blue Velvet Room. The third book in the Dixie Divas series does not fail to entertain and will have you literally laughing out loud.

Already anxiously awaiting the next Dixie Diva Debacle!

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun Silly Romp July 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you like funny quick mysteries, this is very cute. The author does a good job of making me feel I'm in the South, even though I have never lived there. Probably a little stereotyped, so if you from the South you may not like the way some of the ladies in this book are presented. However, I really laughed out-loud several times. Nothing too sexy or bad language, just good fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Fun Read January 5, 2012
Bitty and Trinket are at it again! I love reading about their adventures. Never boring and laugh out loud funny. Like the other Dixie Diva books, I could not put it down. Eagerly waiting for the next adventure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved it December 4, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was my third Dixie Divas book. In this series, the characters draw you in and I feel like I know them. This book, while still excellent, was more about the mystery and less about the characters. I missed that, as the author focused on that in the previous two books. Hope she returns to letting us know more about her complex divas!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious November 28, 2011
Trinket and Bitty are, once again, caught up in some hilarious escapades in Mississippi. They, along with the Divas, never fail to entertain the readers with anything but ordinary circumstances! I also love reading about Chitling and Chen Ling and their costume competitions!

3.0 out of 5 stars fun interesting read December 9, 2011

I enjoyed the book and for $1, the price is pretty good.

Its strongest point is the great characterization. You really get to meet these people and feel like part of their social circle.

Clever plot, real humor and easy, engaging writing style.

Earlier i was going to abandon the book because the dog started to bug me, but something told me to persevere and i am glad i did, just for the trip to Bitty's cabin alone, so funny.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for me March 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I think it would have been more enjoyable without the repetition. I prefer not to be beat over the head with the relationships amongst characters. I quit about halfway through after trying multiple times

1.0 out of 5 stars a waste of time February 23, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
All I can say is I am glad to finally come to the end. Far to much descriptive matter about people, places and things. Don't know when I have ever read a book when I spent so much time skipping over so many paragraphs. I do not plan to read anything by that author again. A real disappointment.
