Book Description

October 12, 2006
Dizzy diseases make people lurch, slide and tumble -- and they make people anxious. They may be part of Parkinsonism, Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Olivopontocerebellar Atrophy (OPCA) or something else altogether. They're often hard to diagnose. This compelling account of life with a "dizzy disease" is an easy-to-read treasure of information and hope for victims and their families.

More About the Author

A. E. P. (Ed) Wall was managing editor of The Honolulu Advertiser, and before that editor of the (Hilo) Hawaii Tribune-Herald. He was a journalist there even before Hawaii became a state -- and before Barack Obama was born. He and his late wife were parents of three children born in Hawaii. Wall was born in Jamestown, N.Y., in 1925. He served as editor-in-chief and director of the National Catholic News Service and is now retired in suburban Chicago. He writes about many topics, especially a rare neurological disease called olivopontocerebellar atrophy, sometimes called MSA.
