Easily One of the Best Songs of 2007 and Certainly JEW's Best,

None of the songs Jimmy Eat World has ever done quite measures up to the epic magnificence that labels "Dizzy." An emotional journey dealing with a relationship's trouble. The song gets all the parts right, and then some, from the distinct urgency, the emotion, the vocals, the lyrics, and somehow, it's catchy. A song that can touch you down in the heart, and strikes a cord... Not many songs are done like this nowadays.Easily one of the best songs of 2007, if not the best, the only thing that could even think of topping it, is itself, or more specifically, the demo version of the song, which uses more acoustics, and a little different of a musical style. Which one version is better, is debatable, but I'm leaning toward the studio/Chase This Light version. If you don't end up getting the album, do your ears a favor and get "Dizzy," you won't be disappointed. |
