Biography

Little Mix may have been brought together on The X Factor but you can't manufacture chemistry, that indefinable quality that so few bands possess but Jesy, Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie have in spades. The first girl band, nay band, ever to win The X Factor, there's is a unique bond cemented via their shared experiences on the show and one that comes across as a very modern take on girl ... Customer Reviews

Everyone needs to buy this album.
Carley Eggleston
My daughter loves that CD... She's even made me listen to a few songs... As long as she's happy I'm very happy.
Stephanie Sewell
"Cannonball" was great, but would the entire album be as good as their first song?

If you liked Wings and DNA you will love the CD. All of the songs are really good. There is definitely potential for a few more singles in there.

Even though I am not British, I watched the British X-Factor and was pleasently surprised when "Little Mix" won. "Cannonball" was great, but would the entire album be as good as their first song? The answer is: YES!

Here is my opinion on the individual tracks:

1. Wings: What a song! Great voices, great lyrics, great rhythm... just great! 10/10

2. DNA: I love this song, the lyrics, the music and the "chorale singing". 10/10

3. Change Your Life: At first it reminded me a bit of Never ever" from All Saints. Pop song, easy-going, very melodic, confidence booster. 7/10

4. Always Be Together: The first ballad on this album. Nice, but not my favorite. 5/10

5. Stereo Soldier: Dance track with Latin elements 6/10

6. Pretend It's OK: Rather quiet, but very melodic and I fell in love with this song immediately. 10/10

7. Turn Your Face: Beautiful ballad, great voices, the more I listen to it, the better it gets. 10/10

8. We Are Who We Are: Another confidence booster. 06/10

9. How Ya Doin'?: Uses a sample of Curiosity Killed the Cat's Name and number". 07/10

10. Red Planet feat. T-Boz: This song is sooo cool. The more I listen to it, the better it gets. Kind of oriental. 10/10

11. Going Nowhere: A bit of Flamenco. Song about a woman who is not happy with her boyfriend. Pop meets rap. 07/10

12. Madhouse: Crazy song, makes you feel like a patient in a madhouse. 08/10

13. Love Drunk: Fast song. A bit of rap, a bit of pop. Gets better and better. 08/10

14. Make You Believe: At first it was my least favorite song on this album, but the more you listen to it, the better it gets... 07/10

15. Case Closed: Beautiful ballad. 07/10

Alright! Well for ONE: It came 18 days before they said it would= WOW. I was really excited to listen. Only a couple of scratches on the back of the case, and the CD was perfect. I seriously reccomend you to anyone. Amazing.

A fully accessible and sing-a-long-able pop confection. The beats are infectious. I love it. Wings is definitely my favorite. Very surprised they aren't more popular.

When a new artist comes onto the music scene, their debut album has to make a big impact. Little Mix's did just that and then some. They won the X Factor UK Season 8 in 2011 and released their debut single, "Wings", in 2012. The single became an instant success and the girls followed the single up with three more amazing songs: "DNA", "Change Your Life" and "How Ya Doin?" As with most UK music acts, like the Spice Girls, the UK album release was ahead of the US release, but nevertheless, it was never too late to put out this album because it's fresh sound and innovative production work done by UK production team TMS make this album one that can fit into any year and never go out of style. This album is an eclectic mix of pop and R&B records that borrow from other genres of music too, like Latin and rock. My favorites include "Wings", "DNA", "Change Your Life", "Stereo Soldier", "Turn Your Face", "How Ya Doin?", "Red Planet" and "Madhouse". Great job Little Mix!
