Product Description

Product Description

The Do-All Single Trap 3/4 model is a sit-down model that features a comfortable fold-down chair. The trap has slip-in legs or slides easily into a 2" hitch receiver. The single target model is fully adjustable with the patented three-pivot mount that allows you to throw in any direction from a springing teal to a ground-bouncing rabbit and anything in between. A sliding, adjustable-tension spring clip on the throwing arm adjusts quickly to throw any of the five standard targets as singles or stacked doubles with the convenience of 3/4 cock. When the target is thrown, the arm cycles 3/4 of the way through the cycle, only requiring the trapper to push the arm through the last 1/4 of the arc. A durable true roller-bearing clutch and counterbalanced arm assure that this final 1/4 motion is accomplished with a minimum of effort, making it simple to operate for young and old alike. Each frame is constructed of heavy-duty steel tubing. Assembles in minutes. Comes complete with adjustable wrench and instructional DVD. The 3/4 offers a 10 year or One Million Target Warrenty on the roller bearing clutch.

Because of their solid, reliable construction, Do-All traps are used at several top sporting clay courses, trap clubs, and shooting ranges. This single 3/4 cock sit-down trap is among the most versatile of the bunch, as its patented three-pivot mount lets you throw any target up to 100 yards in all directions and at any angle. And thanks to the sliding adjustable spring clip on the throwing arm, you can launch any of the five standard targets as either singles or stacked doubles with the convenience of a three-quarter cock.

Unlike with a full cock, a three-quarter cock turns only 75 percent of the way through the cycle when the target is thrown, and only requires the trapper to push the arm through the last quarter of the arc. Subsequently, the true roller-bearing clutch and counterbalanced arm assure that the final quarter motion is accomplished with a minimum of effort, so people of any age can operate it with ease. Other details include a comfortable fold-down chair, heavy-duty steel and aluminum construction, and a positive locking trigger. The trap, which includes slip-in legs that slide easily into a 2-inch trailer hitch, also features a 10-year or 1 million target warranty on the roller-bearing clutch.

It is a very well built and strong thrower.
Justin Carroll
The problem is that the metal frame is heavy and pointed, and the box isn't strong enough to contain it.

The clay trap works well throwing singles, doubles and stacked doubles.

Simply put there really are no flaws in this product...The strength and design are excellent..I'm a flat/lock washer type of guy so I decided to add these where plausible as they were not provided...Even so the total assembly was about 30 minutes...

It will throw about 80-90 yards with no wind and I can verify it will throw 50 yards into a 20 mph wind...I suppose with some tweaking one could coax 100 yards...Heck anything over 60 yards is really difficult to hit so 80-90 yards is plenty for my needs...The throwing action is relatively smooth considering the violent movement of the arm to deliver the trap...This is where the extra heavy build and weight come in handy...Not to mention the counter balance which also smoothes the delivery.

I also tried it with and without the wobbler...While I prefer the convenience of all the extra angles available it's somewhat more difficult to cock the trap arm each time because the unit is trying to move as you pull...So if you are forced to use someone who is not that strong to cock each time it might be more prudent to leave on the original unit which remains totally stationary upon cocking...

The customer service is superb...My unit arrived with the pivot arm attached somewhat offset so they sent me a whole new trap head...Then I wanted to order some extra wobbler bushings for the future but instead they just gave them to me under warranty...I don't how one could ask for more than that...

I have taken a few years off from trap shooting because of neck and back surgeries...Had I know about this unit sooner I can assure you I would have started back up much sooner...The ease of cocking this 3/4 unit versus a full one is HUGE...

This trap is capable of throwing any sporting clay target at varying distance/ speeds. We have used it for conventional throws in addition to fur and feathers, springing teal, and bouncing rabbits- each target thrown just like at our local Sporting Clay Course. By varying spring tension you can throw targets well beyond 100 yards. The trap is also easy to cock, even with high spring tension settings. The one accessory I recommend is the wobbler kit, however the thrower on the trap will need to be stronger both to cock the trap and to throw it; my girlfriend has trouble doing so with the wobbler kit installed. If you have a safe place to shoot, this trap will throw every target you would see at a trap/skeet/sporting clays course.

I have really enjoyed using this product. Assembly instructions were fairly straight-forward and basic tools were included. The first afternoon we used this product everyone in my group was impressed. I think the only area for improvement would be in the release mechanism. After pulling, the lever does not always reset itself completely, which could lead to the unit automatically releasing once the user cocks the unit the next time. The operator should be aware of this fact and make sure that the release bar is completely closed prior to re-cocking the device. I really enjoy my unit and I would recommend it! Additionally, you may want to consider the wobbler attachment which enables you to move the launching arm faster and in between shots to keep the shooter guessing as to where the clay pigeon will release.

The altitude and angle of throw are adjustable on this unit, but only with several minutes of work with a wrench between throws. I ended up grinding off the locking teeth on both the altitude and angle adjustment plates and installed a leather disk between each set of plates. After tensioning the bolt holding the two plates together, the unit is now easily adjustable between throws by simply aiming with the handle at the back.

The paint finish on my unit was a bit crude, but doesn't affect function. Legs did not sit level, and I had to add a wooden block to one leg to get it to do so. These defects aside, the unit is very heavy duty and should last a life time.

With the rework noted, this thrower is very effective. The seat greatly reduces fatigue and allows for a fast load and throw. My wife and I have used our unit once a week for the last three months, throwing 200+ clays each week with no problems whatsoever (after the rework noted above). It's light enough for one person to load into the back of a truck.

If you have the mechanical skills to do the rework noted, this is a very good thrower for the money, and I would recommend it on this basis.

I LOVE this trap thrower. It throws plenty far and if you add the wobbler it throws in any direction and height. It is almost no effort to be the "thrower". You sit, throw, reset and throw. I like it free standing rather than on my hitch, but everyone has their application. I don't hunt, I just like to shoot for sport. It took me about an hour to put it together and get it working the way I like. I watched a you-tube video on assembling it before I tried it myself. I've had it for the entire summer and we have had a ball with it. Tip..... Use your 20 gauge, you're going to shoot so much your 12 gauge would wear out your shoulder. This is awesome. I highly recommend it.
