Simply put there really are no flaws in this product...The strength and design are excellent..I'm a flat/lock washer type of guy so I decided to add these where plausible as they were not provided...Even so the total assembly was about 30 minutes...

It will throw about 80-90 yards with no wind and I can verify it will throw 50 yards into a 20 mph wind...I suppose with some tweaking one could coax 100 yards...Heck anything over 60 yards is really difficult to hit so 80-90 yards is plenty for my needs...The throwing action is relatively smooth considering the violent movement of the arm to deliver the trap...This is where the extra heavy build and weight come in handy...Not to mention the counter balance which also smoothes the delivery.

I also tried it with and without the wobbler...While I prefer the convenience of all the extra angles available it's somewhat more difficult to cock the trap arm each time because the unit is trying to move as you pull...So if you are forced to use someone who is not that strong to cock each time it might be more prudent to leave on the original unit which remains totally stationary upon cocking...

The customer service is superb...My unit arrived with the pivot arm attached somewhat offset so they sent me a whole new trap head...Then I wanted to order some extra wobbler bushings for the future but instead they just gave them to me under warranty...I don't how one could ask for more than that...

I have taken a few years off from trap shooting because of neck and back surgeries...Had I know about this unit sooner I can assure you I would have started back up much sooner...The ease of cocking this 3/4 unit versus a full one is HUGE...It's makes loading and throwing a pure pleasure and actually fun whereas the full cock units can wear a person out rather quickly and turn the whole event tiresome...My unit actually moves around closer to 7/8 than 3/4 so it almost fully re-cocks itself...Of course I've made sure the bearing clutch and pivot arm were properly lubed so I'm sure that helps...

So far I've thrown about 500 targets and I've broken less than 10...Especially considering both doubles and stacked doubles have been thrown..

I could see this thrower lasting a lifetime with the possible replacement of a bearing clutch and pivot arm bushing on occasion...Bottom line there isn't a better thrower out there for under [...]...So if you plan on shooting a few hundred targets a month or even a year this is the one to get...Spend the little extra and you won't be sorry...

This trap is capable of throwing any sporting clay target at varying distance/ speeds. We have used it for conventional throws in addition to fur and feathers, springing teal, and bouncing rabbits- each target thrown just like at our local Sporting Clay Course. By varying spring tension you can throw targets well beyond 100 yards. The trap is also easy to cock, even with high spring tension settings. The one accessory I recommend is the wobbler kit, however the thrower on the trap will need to be stronger both to cock the trap and to throw it; my girlfriend has trouble doing so with the wobbler kit installed. If you have a safe place to shoot, this trap will throw every target you would see at a trap/skeet/sporting clays course.

I have had this trap thrower for a few months now and it is fantastic. I love having the ability to slide it into the hitch of my truck or have it stand alone on the range. It throws with great consistantcy if you wish or you can change up where the clay bird goes with every throw. I highly recommend the wobbler kit as it makes the thrower capable of throwing in all directions without the use of tools.

The altitude and angle of throw are adjustable on this unit, but only with several minutes of work with a wrench between throws. I ended up grinding off the locking teeth on both the altitude and angle adjustment plates and installed a leather disk between each set of plates. After tensioning the bolt holding the two plates together, the unit is now easily adjustable between throws by simply aiming with the handle at the back.

The paint finish on my unit was a bit crude, but doesn't affect function. Legs did not sit level, and I had to add a wooden block to one leg to get it to do so. These defects aside, the unit is very heavy duty and should last a life time.

With the rework noted, this thrower is very effective. The seat greatly reduces fatigue and allows for a fast load and throw. My wife and I have used our unit once a week for the last three months, throwing 200+ clays each week with no problems whatsoever (after the rework noted above). It's light enough for one person to load into the back of a truck.

If you have the mechanical skills to do the rework noted, this is a very good thrower for the money, and I would recommend it on this basis.

Excellent trap thrower that can be used in a reciever hitch or stand alone.Added the wobbler kit and you cannot get a better combination to throw targets at any angle or height from the thrower!!

This thing works great! It was easy to put together and throws as promised.

Got this 3/4 trap this Christmas. The clay trap works well throwing singles,doubles and stacked doubles. Setting the trap arm is a little harder than I thought it would be, but is about 1/3 the effort my very old Trius needs to set. Setting it is not a problem
Assembly was a snap. Threw 200 clays the 1st day of use, no problems and average landing distance was 70 to 90 yards. I'm very happy with the trap.

At first glance this cock trap (CT) looks utilitarian and not very forgiving. I guess, don't judge a book by its cover, or, more accurately, don't judge a CT by its cover. Other than the squeaking, this cock trap is bar-none the best cock trap on the market today.

I would recomend this thrower to anyone, it is very easy to use and set up, the 3/4 is the only way to go for hours of fun.

This product was very easy to assemble and easier to use. Have thrown several cases of clay targets through it and am very satisfied with the way it works.
